I shutter to think on how she would be able to handle the pressures of foreign relations and even more so, actual wars or potential wars that exist on the planet.

Why? Because she's a woman? Trump the ever whiner and his gaggle of always aggrieved white followers are hardly a projection of strength. The fact that Trump gives Putin and other dictators a (metaphorical) sloppy ** at every opportunity isn't exactly a confidence builder. He has a room temperature IQ, (although still apparently higher then many of his voters), and was laughed at by world leaders. You people live in such a delusional alternative reality it breaks my heart. I don't care if the U.S. burns down, you people brought it on yourselves and deserve it, my worry is how it will affect Europe and The Middle East.

No it will be much much worse than 4 years of incompetence. Last time people did not know what Trump, this time they do and are ready to use the opportunity.
For starters, I expect Ukraine to be lost to Russia...following which China will likely conquer Taiwan as we all know Trump will not be going to any type or war and is easy to fool and bully or bribe.
I also expect general rearmament in Japan and most European countries along with a greater drive to obtain nuclear weapons and Trump is unlikely to accept any NATO responsibilities....treaties be damned.

Yes, if anything he will increase nuclear tensions. In fact I do not doubt that he would want to up our nuclear arsenal a bit himself.

We may have the house again. And though the Senate is lost we still have the ability to oppose using filibusters.

I think that a lot of his bills will need to be passed with a warning of how bad it is going to be for the economy etc..

This is the sort of thing I hear from Trump supporters that makes it difficult to see Trump's appeal.

I really do get the sense that Trump supporters generally fall into a few categories:

- anti-choicers who don't like him, but are willing to vote for anyone who will appoint anti-abortion judges

- people who see his racism, misogyny and xenophobia as positives, not negatives

- people who just want to metaphorically burn the whole system down and see Trump as the guy to do it, or

- people whose Republican party affiliation is such a part of their identity that they'd never think to vote for anyone else.


Except for the second category, I see very few people who can coherently express why they think Trump will do what they consider to be a good job. People will fire off platitudes like "the economy!" but without anything to back it up, so it feels like cover for their real reasons for voting for him.

I just don't get it.
