She was incompetent right from the start with the first presidential run, and it's a real head scratcher why she was just appointed by party overlords like communists do without any offer for Democrats to vote in their own nominee.

That to me is the most Un-American thing I've seen , which to me contributed to her defeat.
It's really quite simple. She was the easy choice and Democrats could never be seen taking that opportunity away from a female person of color.

Why are the Polls consistently wrong about Trump and the dem candidate? Any ideas?

2024
Trump won 30 states and overperformed the polls in 28 of them by an average of 6.3%.
Harris won 21 states and underperformed the polls in 16 of them by an average of 2.0%.

2020
Trump won 27 states and overperformed the polls in 24 of them by an average of 4.9%.
Biden won 24 states and underperformed the polls in 21 of them by an average of 3.0%.

2016
Trump won 30 states and overperformed the polls in 27 of them by an average of 7.8%.
Clinton won 24 states and overperformed the polls in 11 of them by an average of 1.9%.

Two things she said that helped sink her, when she said she would not have changed anything different than Biden did over the last 4 years and when she was asked what her greatest gut decision was and she said Tim Walz.

I'd just be happy if you people would ever learn what the hell communism actually is.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
The outcome of a tariff war is unpredictable and it heavily influences where manufacturing industries are going to settle. I doubt you are going to see much of a difference in the short-term when most investors are going to be cautious. I genuinely don't see how the poor unsatisfied with Biden's government due to economy issues would be better off in Trump's term.
Well as they say there's only one way to find out and that is to do it. If it doesn't work out I'm sure Trump will put a stop to it and turn to other strategies.

The age of pollsters is over. They have been so wrong, so often, that they are in the category of fortune-tellers, now. At least in the US. Polling still seems to work in the rest of the world.
My guess is that people in the US lie habitually. They made the biggest liar President, so much do they like lying.

Well we know communism isn't very good for a nation and there are a lot of play books reflecting a communist system. That's what the US needs to avoid.

Leaving a trail of chaos behind him.
Not really. I would expect things to be no worse than any other country that uses tariffs presently.

If it was as bad as people say, nobody would employ tariffs anywhere , but we see it being used all the time, so I'm not really all that worried about it.

Yes, I agree. A weak America with felon braggart president will be very useful. Most of the world is actually overjoyed at this ready made turkey dinner. Let the carving of American power among successor claimants begin!
On the one hand, it is good that the US is going down the drain, now. But the successors will 1. have to step up to the challenge and 2. emancipate themselves from the US (at least Europe will have to do that).

They say she wanted Waltz because he couldn't overshadow her abilities and the like.

Trump on the other hand picked intelligent and smart people who could easily be on par with his own abilities. I think Vance will make a good president someday depending on how the next four years go.

The US is already down the drain so I expect actually, this country will be able to climb out of the drain they find themselves in presently.

Yes but they have been consistently wrong in the same direction for 3 elections now.

No it will be much much worse than 4 years of incompetence. Last time people did not know what Trump, this time they do and are ready to use the opportunity.
For starters, I expect Ukraine to be lost to Russia...following which China will likely conquer Taiwan as we all know Trump will not be going to any type or war and is easy to fool and bully or bribe.
I don't. Though the US has helped Ukraine, they weren't the biggest of help. Most of it came from the EU.
I also expect general rearmament in Japan and most European countries along with a greater drive to obtain nuclear weapons and Trump is unlikely to accept any NATO responsibilities....treaties be damned.
Yep. It won't be cheap and will likely be met with disagreement, but in the midterm it will pay out when the €uro replaces the Dollar as reserve currency.

I think Vance will let Trump rule for a month or two and then force him to take a dementia test (article 25). That way, Vance will not have a full term and has 2 further shots at the Presidency.

Well if Trump starts wondering aimlessly off the stage, mumbles a lot , and starts sucking on baby feet , then I could probably see where I can agree with you.

The dems could have made Biden take a dementia test but failed to do so.

Vance could turn against him.
