The main issue I see is that even in the 21st century people still subscribe to the school of thought that teaches, “if it is on the internet, it must be true.” Immediately after reading this thread I thought the news story was a hoax. Women do not naturally have eye makeup that sparkles or any eye makeup for that matter. Only a person who is mentally challenged would have been duped.
If you're obsessed with that, you're missing what people are actually talking about in this thread.

I gotta love this. The expectation to judge women upon their looks is so expected that there is complaining about using make up. While men are just assumed to be what? Perfect? Men don't feel that pressure to wear make up to look "pretty", women do, and when they do use make up then they are "deceiving" someone by covering up a flaw they find in themselves? If she didn't cover the flaw before you got to know her would you have bothered or just write her off? Men expect to be taken just how they are and not have their flaws pointed out to them, yet a woman is "damned if she do and damned if she don't". If a man is that damn shallow as to dump a woman because he doesn't like what she looks like without make up on then I'd say that's one HUGE flaw in the man and she should be happy to be rid of him. She can wear make up, have plastic surgery, botox, or any number of things to change the way she looks (if she so feels like doing so), but such a man will still be a douche. There ain't no fix for being a douche.

Most make up just covers things like discolorations, scars, freckles, the stray pimple. Any of those things should be considered ok. Actually, the traditional Islamic introduction before marriage is only allowed with the natural look. So Muslims sticking to this teaching should not have a problem in this regard
Later on it is perfectly okay to wear make up even if it is a whole bucket of paint... as long as it doesn't splat all over the place of course.

The reality is she is the same person no matter what "flaws" are upon her face. If a man takes the time to know and really love a woman he shouldn't give a crap about her so called "flaws". If he does, he's a douchewaffle.
