I believe it does not matter that God is not finished with creating on a minor basis because the verse defintely said He was finished with original creation.

I don't beleive God ever stops creating and I believe when God finished his work on the 6th day and rested on the seventh that the original creation was finished.

Dear Muffled, Then it should be easy for you to show us a time, in the PAST, when all creatures were Vegetarians, because that's what Gen 1:30 says:

Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

It really doesn't matter what you believe Genesis is teaching, but what you can actually show with Scripture. Gen 2:2-3 REPEAT that God rests from "ALL" of His work of creating on the 7th Day. Since it takes the "work" of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to "CREATE" a New Christian Spiritually, God is still working so long as some animals continue to eat meat.

When God rests from ALL of His work of creating, it will be because His Creation is Finished, which in Hebrew means brought to perfection. Then the Lion will eat straw like the Ox. Isaiah 11:7 Look around the world today, and tell me that things have been brought to perfection. God's work continues today for He is STILL creating sinners in Christ Spiritually. When Heaven is filled, God will rest (Heb-shabbath, CEASE) His work of creating. God Bless you.

I believe the verse does not say that. It would be like if I wrote that I served a broccoli quiche but that does not mean that I won't serve cheeseburgers or have never served cheeseburgers.

Since it says that it is so. Howeveer all means all for that time such as me saying I have said it all but that doesn't mean that I won't post more later. For that time original creation was finished.

I don't believe I have seen a verse that states that but it wouldn't matter because it has nothing to do with original creation.

I believe this does not relate to Genesis at all and I believe God never rests only that He ceases from an activity such as original creation.

31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Dear Bible Student, You are correct that Adam and Eve were BOTH "created in God's Image" on the present 6th Day. To be created in God's Image is to be created Spiritually and Eternally in Christ, since Jesus Christ is the Image of the invisible Spirit we call God. Col 1:15 Don't believe me? Then post Scripture which shows another Image of God. I already know that you cannot, but try to find one anyway. It will help you to understand Scripture. God Bless you.

Der Muffled, Then please explain HOW a New creature in Christ is created IF God has already rested from ALL of His work of creating as Gen 2:2-3 repeats. Since it takes the AGREEMENT of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to "create" man in God's Image Gen 1:26 AND John 14:16. If God has already rested (Heb-ceased) for all of His creating, NO man, can be saved. God Bless you.

Im glad you finally learned that Adam and Eve were both made on the sixth day.You are incorrect about Adam and Eve being made in the image of God as spirits.You cannot see a spirit.Adam and Eve are humans.Their appearance is physical.God is a spirit form.When it says" in our image,in our likeness", it does not mean literally how God looks.It means how God is.His attributes.How He is.Love,Wisdom,Justice and Power.

Dear Bible Student, Adam was "made" physcially the 3rd Day. Gen 2:4-7
Eve was NOT made from Adam's rib until the 6th Day. Gen 2:22

BOTH were "created" in God's Image on the present 6th Day, AFTER Cain killed Abel. Gen 5:1-2 To be created in God's Image is to be born again Spiritually and to be born Spiritually is INVISIBLE to the physical world. John 3:8 God Bless you.

Dear Norrin, God has but 7 Days or Ages in His Creation of the perfect Heaven. Each of the Days is some 4.5 Billion years in length, in man's time. Adam was made on the 3rd Day Gen 2:4-7 and we live today on the 6th Creative Day at Gen 1:27 since God is STILL creating Adam (mankind) in His Image, which is in Christ, Spiritually. God Bless you.

Dear Readers, What Bible Student doesn't want you to know is that the JWs don't believe that Jesus is God. That is why they have changed John 1:1, just a tiny bit. Here is what the verse actually says:

Jhn 1:1In the beginning was the Word, (Jesus) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Here is the JW version since they claim that Jehovah is the only God.

Jhn 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a God.

Did you see the added "a"? They don't seem to know that YHWH and Jesus are the SAME God, since God is ONE. Someone should tell them. God Bless all of you.

How in the world can you get that idea? If God made Adam and Eve on the third day, then the heavens would have been featureless and they would have been lonely, because there would not have been any animals to keep them company. Man was created the sixth day, because he was made in the image of God and was the crowing creation of God. My research says:-
This is the only instance during the creation process when God blessed a unit of time. The term holy is applied in the Bible to something set aside for service to God.
2:4 The Hebrew word toledoth, translated here as records, is used 11 times in the book of Genesis to introduce new units of material (5:1; 6:9; 10:1; 11:10,27; 25:12,19; 36:1,9; 37:2). Here it introduces a detailed elaboration of some key aspects of the creation account that opens the book of Genesis (1:1-2:3). Special emphasis is placed on the events of day six. Verse 4 includes the first use of God's personal name, rendered in English as the Lord, the most commonly used noun in the OT.
