Age of Earth

Whatever,I just hope that one day you can find the truth that I have because when you do you will question how you ever thought differently.
I'm 48. I was raised by atheists. If you think you can convert me, feel free. I foresee much headbanging in your future should you undertake this Herculean task. But who knows, maybe you can twist that bible in a fresh new way that makes me question everything I thought I'd known for almost half a century?

How about answering the question, "Would Jesus go around telling people to 'have fun living a lie'?"

I'm not going to try to convert you, that isn't my goal, although that would be nice. All I can do is pray to my God that he will give you understanding and peace so that you can fully experience his love.

You do that. Meanwhile, I shall keep myself abreast of all the amazing things gods were once thought to have miraculously done which we can now explain using SCIENCE!!!

Incidentally, @elijoe_15 it's not my intention to attempt to deconvert you either, but you'll not see me telling you to "have fun living a delusion". I think that's rather condescending myself, but I suppose if you have god's permission then it's actually divine condescension, eh? ;)

Well looky there, I can be condescending too. Who knew?

It is an answer God created the earth so any claims that are influenced by evolution are automatically false. No evidence needed
According to Genesis, God commanded the sky, the land, and the ocean to bring forth life, i.e. to produce (or evolve) life. Evolution is true. It's okay to believe God used evolution to produce life, but the Bible is in agreement with evolution (if you just read it right). Evolution is true, both in fact, evidence, and... Biblical. Cool, right?

The world around me is all the evidence all need and I'm referring to the Christian God,the only one that matters.
I'm partial to Cthulhu, myself. There have even been recorded sounds of an unknown origin, that were made by no known or documented creature, in the Pacific ocean around the place where Lovecraft said the ancient city of R'lyeh rests.
Well the difference is they are wrong and Christianity is right. Now people can say that it's not but good for them, have fun living a lie.
I have found that Christianity had me living a lie. And I hated myself over this lie, but what's to be expected when you are constantly told the way you are is an abomination?

You expect science to be able to provide evidence to confirm its claims (which it has in abundance) but then just get to assert whatever you want as fact without any evidence or demonstration whatsoever?

Gimme a break.

It's a non-answer, not any different than if I simply declared that Christianity is false because I know that tiny green goblins cobbled the earth together 10 minutes ago.

Special pleading. God says it, he believes it, that settles it. Impossible to argue.

Funny how "he" doesn't just do this for all his supposedly beloved creatures without the need for any kind of prayers or pleading. Doesn't sound so loving to me.

There is every indication that a supernatural being created it.How can you even begin to think that all the complexities of the universe are just coincidence?

Complexity is no indication of a supernatural creator. Complex design is poor design; simple, efficient design is good design. So, if anything, the complexities of the universe are indicative of either no supernatural creator at all, or the creator being Azathoth.

That doesn't, however, make them coincidental. Rather, the complexities of the universe are self-causal. In other words, a planet forming and giving birth to life wasn't a coincidence, but an inevitability. Everything you see, everything you are, everything you can conceive of, is quite literally Stardust.

He loves all of his creatures unconditionally but it isn't until someone accepts him and the Holy Spirit enters the, that they can truly feel the full extent of his love.

The Bible, the earth and thousands of historical documents give validity to God.

How are the Bible and the earth historical documents that give validity to god? The Bible is a collection of old books written by humans and compiled by humans, and the earth is just proof that the earth exists.

What other thousands of historical documents are you referring to?

I've always wondered, if God can create a dolphin to breathe through one hole and eat through another, why weren't we created that way? Does he like seeing us choke? What's up with vestigial bones/organs, was he planning to give whales legs? You a tail? When my appendix ruptured it hurt like hell and I might have died. Before I had my tonsils removed I had one ear infection after the other with blisters developing on my eardrums that could have deafened me had they ruptured. But evolution is just lies straight from the pit of hell, I suppose. A trickster god makes so much more sense.
