I don't understand what soccer has to do with it...honestly... :)
By the way, the US is the beacon of Freedom, and stand for the two values that bring all the countries of the West together: truth and beauty.
Life is meaningless unless there are these two constants.
He switched from hating the western world to America specifically.
Soccer was brought up because of his avatar.

I just wanna share my thoughts on america and you guys can turn it into a debate if you want

when was the last time america won a war? I guess they win everyday in their hollywood movies but in reality they got kicked out of afghanistan and vietnam

in hollywood movies america is best at everything but in reality it is not good at anything and the only reason america developed is because it got scientists and geniuses from europe and asia into the country

america even lost fifa world cup lol the only competition america wins are the ones that they play among themselves but they never won a competition that they play with rest of the world
You are mistaken on two fronts.
America won the war in Iraq and eliminated the Saddam Hussain regime. Iraq now has a reasonably stable government.
America went to Afghanistan to kill Osama Bin Laden and the terrorists responsible for 9/11. They did that. They stayed after that for unnecessary and unfocused mission creep. Eventually that was clear to everybody and they left. Correct decision...as all the original objectives were met.
Your obsession with football as a measure of anything is nonsensical. If you wish to look at overall sports...maybe see the Olympics medals tally and where US is in it?

america thinks of other people as backwards and uneducated but the fact of the matter is that most people in america are dropouts. american education is also really easy i have seen their 10th grade algebra problems which is really similar to the concepts taught here in 6th grade. american geography also reminds me of 3rd grade asian education

Yes, America's educational system has suffered to a great degree, due to a combination of factors. But it also varies from district to district.

that's really a naive way of seeing politics. usa doesn't do anything without selfish reasons. i think european governments also understand that but they along with it unlike russia who would not go with it

My post above should no way be construed as myself supporting the wars USA have waged for mostly nonsensical reasons since the second world war.

I guess it's the one sport where Europeans consistently do better than we do. So, they have to have something to gloat about. When it comes to the more important sports, like baseball, football, basketball - Americans rule. ;)
importance is based on the viewership. btw football is something that is watched in africa, middle east, asia, europe and south america as well. it's just the usa we are talking about and obviously american population would not watch anything that america is not good at

In all the West it's like that. There are élites, even in Europe, who act out of selfish reasons.

they bombed iraq and iraq was a lot richer prior to american invasion. they killed osama in 2011 so if you really think that they needed 10 more years and waste billions of dollars to see that staying there is useless then you really need to think a lot more. football is watched more than olympics but even most olympic winners are not americans. most players even in american sports are not americans

You do know WHY football is played in many of these countries...influence of the...ahem...British colonialism. I actually find it somewhat laudable that since independence, the USA have developed its own sports rather than following their colonial overlords.

As far as I've been able to tell, there is absolutely no logic or consistency in trying to determine what Americans would watch or not watch. Even those whose job it is to figure these things out only seem to get it right once in a while.

You're really obsessed with America? Why is that?

I'm a fan of rugby personally. Not shown or cared about enough in the US imo.

But seriously, why fight these wars in Iraq and Vietnam?? And in Afganistan, would not a covert operation worked much better in taking out the heads of the snake. Pay a few people here and there...

I don't disagree. Should have been small scale surgical strikes.

All I know is Vietnam was mostly bout countering China and less about the vietnamese.
