YouTube - Amir Sulaiman - Dead Man Walking

I am a dead man walking
A mute man talking
A blind man watching
Our brothers die

And I’ve built our coffins
Much too often
It gets so dark when
Our mothers cry

So now I’m walking the thin line
Between love and hate
Between words that are spoken
And beats that break
There’s a thin line between
A bullet in the chamber
And the bullet in the brain
I’m civilized, sane, with a little savage in me
There’s not really a little savage in me
Just a lot of passion in me
And sometimes the soul rolls
Outta control without a glass of rem’y
And some people are fine with being slaves
Just as long as massa’s friendly
And let us spit fire into match
Until the mag’ is empty
You don’t need to pass the cem’y
To know there’s a little assassin in me
Just know
There is no soul taken accident’ly
The angel of death has an itinerary
Snatch you right outta your Bently
Right outta your Gucci jeans
Right outta your Fendi
Right outta your dashik’
And right outta your Kente
Allah has written in his book
And there is no erasing the pen’s ink
So why do we ignore what God knows
And rely on what men think
We’re just boys in the backstreet
Just tryin’ to get in sync

Now. You muslim? your forefathers from any muslim county? why kill and oppress the hindus in kashmire? why hate hindus? why kill woman and childeren of hinduism in kashmere? why destory hindu temples?

This is my answer to your forefathers and your statement of us having hate and the urge to kill.

To bring them out of the worship of man/animals to the worship of the CREATOR of man/animals. To take them out of darkness and opperssion of polythisim to the light and justice of monothisim.

Land had to be opened to free the masses from the shacles of man-made slavery to the mercy of their true creator.

I am finished in this thread.

So, Muslims are justified in spreading their religion by the sword.

How abhorrent.

ETA: I have to admit, that while I consider Islam a beautiful tradition in its own right, with many virtues, I'm struggling to reconcile that opinion with the behavior of certain Muslims on the forum. You and your ild do your religion a tremendous disservice, 301ouncer.

Creator being seperate from creation is a kid's take....I dont think all people would settle on such a simplistic view of reality.:)

This is a rather confusing post. Auto asked about who's commiting honor killings, and this is your response? It sounds for all the world like you're blaming the victims for violating the teachings of Islam, but that's a complete non sequitur, and not what I would expect from you. Please, clarify.

There is no such thing as killing honorably. A warrior should always seek peace, not blood. If anything is done in the name of righteousness, it should be honorable. If something tells you to kill, ask it to kill itself and see if it betters the world.

I disagree, but that's a topic for another thread.

If anyone needs a reason to speak out against Islam, the above is perhaps a perfect example.
You cannot lump blame on faith or religion because one person believes things like that, that is bigotry. Remove the individual and leave the masses to state whether they follow such an asinine remark or not, but to condemn millions mirrors the faults in the one pointing the finger.

i thought she asked who's causing trouble here. blaming victims? you mean people who's killed by their families? no way, Storm. no matter what happens, no matter what a person dies, even if he was sentenced to death by government legally, still, i would not be able to understand how come father & mother would be eager to see his death

Thank you. I really didn't think you believed it, but I couldn't figure out what else you might have meant.

Or remove this....

if you are brave enough remove hatred. then look for a chance to pretend "hero". i can remove negative emotions from my heart but i can't remove the hatred you cause. and you think you serve God, this is really tragic

For the most part, I do agree. The thing is that sexual mores are prescribed by the Qur'an and the Qur'an is the root of their most deeply held beliefs. I do not see how the point CAN be seriously argued. What individual Muslims do with that prescription is quite another thing. One has to bear in mind, at all times, that the vast majority of Muslims perceive the Qur'an as being the literal word of god and that is where things slide off the rails of reality.

I do not think you understand. The cause of anger of the masses is because of these state of the art gunships. This hatered that is sent by man from the first heaven is the initial cause of this hatered ( which you think I have which I do not ). Remove these 21st century gunships and let the people live as they wish then no hatered will exist.

I am very much misunderstood in this thread therefore I said I am finished here.

This is what makes me love you, .lava, but it also highlights part of my "grave reservations" about the Qur'an and accepted Islamic thought is the notion that some things are hateful to god, as well as the notion that some things that you hate are good for you. Personally, I find the psychology behind these ideas to be, well -- troubling.

Yeah, you've said that three or four times.

Personally, I think he's understood perfectly. He just doesn't like it.

those who hate others for their sins and those who hate Islam are like right and left arms of the same sick body.

there is nothing wrong with Qur'an. i said many times in years. studying Qur'an and learning relations between verses is nothing like reading the whole book at once. it takes a life time. you show no respect to this knowledge. you would not care to listen. but you are willing to listen and believe people who do not know Islam well enough. you should have known, a Muslim should follow footsteps of Prophets. a Muslim member here is not my teacher, can't be. noone can lead me if where he is taking me was away from humanity and i would not respect or trust any religious person in case i was scared of him. because i've seen the real deal. with messengers and real teachers who trully know that path leads God, you may never feel fear or humiliation because they would never threaten you or break your heart, EVER! as they taught me, they feel sad if one insist on wrong path and wish for their happiness and pray for them. those who hate cartoon artists for instance are blind people to me. no more blind than artists themselves. you know why? people who mock God and its Prophets appear to be people who's throwing themselves into fire. how could i hate someone who's throwing himself into fire? you tell me! how could i? you may love me but i don't believe if you really love to love me.

Qur'an is the book and source of Islam. i personally accept everything in it. i say it one more time, if you can't provide verses from Qur'an to show me "God commands this or that", just don't bother insisting about it. i am saying this to both Muslims and non-Muslims. this world had enough of your hatred
