Anti-Islamic Sentiment on RF

nameless

The Creator
those conquests brought a great religion to those countries...without them ,i wouldn't have been a muslim..and probably you too...

I am proud of those conquests , and i don't think it's right to look down at them to please anyone..there were plenty of efforts and sacrifices..plenty of martyrs...to deliver the word of Allah to you and me , and we should be proud of that

I don't think so...we hate the sin ,but not the sinner....we wish that the sinner be guided...we hope for all humanity to be guided

this time i appreciate you. :)

I've learned to see them through the fog :D . Honestly ,Sahar , the one who wants to see the beauty of Islam will have to see through the fog...you know the fog of...hey they are killing the raped instead of the rapist...hey ,the honour killings...hey.... bla bla bla bla.............blabla , and yet some people manage to do it...here on this forum

I think we ,muslims , need to see through the fog as well...to see the honest compassionate people who are not few ,btw

I think I understand what you're saying. Both sides need to learn to take people one at a time, not lump everyone from the "other side" in with the bad actions of a few--right?

I strongly agree. We all need to view each other with compassion and forgiveness, to reduce the level of violence in the world.

For myself, I'm not trying to castigate all Muslims--I'm trying to focus on Islam, the religion. Is it an influence for good or bad? The data seems to indicate to indicate that, regardless of what the qur'an says, the practice of Islam has a negative effect on people.

And I'm not too crazy about the qur'an either, what with its many hateful passages against Jews and infidels.

Well, I have a great difficulty to see them through the fog :D, there are honest people but what I've reached until now that they are very few. On the contrary Mayada, I do think that occupation of Muslim countries and the bias against Palestinians and Muslims didn't come out of the blue, there is a certain mentality there behind all this, I don't mean at the level of officials and decision makers only but the people too. Yet I have always admired your positivity.:)

Well, do you think maybe the "honour killings blah blah suicide bombings blah blah flogging rape victims blah blah denial of legal rights to women blah blah attacking little girls for going to school blah blah rioting over cartoons blah blah threatening violence over the name of a teddy bear etc. etc. etc. etc." has ANYTHING to do with the bias against Muslims?

Oops, sorry, the thread was ending so nicely, and I just started in posting without reviewing the whole thing. Just ignore my previous posts and all agree on tolerance, forgiveness and compassion.

Personally i see the Ahadiths as the biggest problem, mix that with the negative parts of the Qur'an and it makes an unhealthy brew for some unfortunate person.

This is an unfair generalization ,Auto

And I'm not too crazy about the qur'an either, what with its many hateful passages against Jews and infidels.

The quranic passages have to be read in context...some verses degrade Specific jews and specific infidels...for some specific actions...done in a specific time

it has to be understood within its historical context ,Auto....that's why i always recommend having a book of tafsir explaining the reasons of revealation while reading the Quran

Yes ,of course....when i said the fog....i wasn't only blaming it on the non muslims...but on muslims as well...but probably on muslims , Mainly

yes. eternity belongs to God alone. hell and heaven are not eternal. .

I said I finished here. But could not help not to reply to this and let it slide.

Can I ask you where in a Quran or Hadith what you say is true? Are you reading from the same Quran or Sahih hadith for that matter?

Or you just like to twist and turn Statements sent from the above the seven heavens to please and appease your earthly guests?

Sincere advie to you it is very dangerouse what you have just said above.

LOL, I love it how you slipped yor advertising into your reply about Adam and Eve! :D

Anyways, back to the topic at hand - seriously why do you hate Gays?

Hi paul, NO I DO NOT HATE GAYS. In capital letters just to make it clear it to you.

In Islam it teachs me to respect the private wishs of individuals. If what they get upto all in private I have no hate towards them whatsoever. I hope they come to their senses and pray for them to change. BUT if these acts done in public or laws pushed to teach my future generations into accepting such acts as normal and Allah given rights then this is a NO NO for me.

In the dark ages of europe. Even a sniff of someone is gay amounted to burning at the stake. But in ISLAM even a sniff of someone is gay has the total protection of the state when walking the streets or visiting shops. As long as they respect our divine laws. They are my friends.
