Are Jahovah Witness Christian?

Let's settle this question with Moderator input.

I have only one question:

Q. - Do the Jehovah's Witnesses identify themselves as Christians?

If the answer to that question is yes (and it appears that they do), then as far as I'm concerned ... they're Christians. If not, then I'm satisfied that they're not Christians.

Easy peasy.

...

However, I'm guessing that what you're actually asking is more along the lines of: "Is there unanimous agreement amongst all Christian denominations that the Jehovah's Witnesses are also Christians?"

"H-h-hello? Anybody home?"

If that's indeed the inferno into which you're venturing, then you might as well abandon all hope of ever getting an answer ... as there may not be a single point upon which all Christians have ever agreed. Doesn't it often feel like those folks can't even discuss what color to paint the pastor's bathroom without it ending in a schism?

OK, thanks. May I ask what scripture convinces you that Jesus is God in the flesh? We do not teach Jesus is an angel, but rather, the only begotten Son of God. We do believe he is the archangel Michael, based on 1 Thessalonians 4:16 and Jude 9.

So you are saying that the arcangel michael is the son of God.

It would appear that there is a major division between those calling themseves Christian.
Those that believe that Jesus is God in the trinity. Which includes all the major churches.

And those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God... some of who believe he is in some way part of the God head and others that do not.
The JW,s fall into the second sub group. the Mormons fall in to the first sub group as do many Christian unitarians.
none of these sub groups are considered "christian" by most mainline trinitarian churches.

@rusra02 According to the Jehovah's Witnesses the man Jesus is the reincarnated Michael. But according to the Jehovah's Witnesses the people teaching reincarnation are lying. If Jesus was really Michael then reincarnation was real once. Why not again?

I think that to the angels in Heaven who loved Michael, the angle Michael is still very real to them. Why not?

I think that a real Christian does good to "the least of" Jesus' brothers. Doing good to the least one is what puts a person on the road to life. Every Jehovah's Witness ignores me for the most part which is the opposite of doing good to someone. Isn't it?

If you're wanting Jehovah's Witnesses to not ignore you, you aren't going about it the right way!!

Oh, I know. To disagree with the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses is to them blasphemous. But to agree with them is to share in their wicked works. I call anything that stumbles righteousness wickedness. A white lie in God's name is wicked imho.
Thank you for talking to me.

So? If I want them to listen to reason what should I do, according to you?

If you're religious comments are based on hate, continue doing what you are doing!!

Do you proof read what you write? I have told them again and again that to disagree does NOT mean hate.

Maybe you do not obey scripture like I think I should. Ephesians 5:4 Ephesians 4:25

Does disagreeing with their doctrine mean I hate them? Can that be proved please?
When they go door to door hoping to get people to realize their folly and learn truth they do it in love. Correct? When I post on the forums I do it in hate. WHY? Please tell me why.

Please read again what I wrote. I did not call them wicked people. I called their works wicked. Tell me please. To elevate their leaders to the level of God and Christ is righteous or wicked, according to YOU?

What is the opposite of righteousness?
What is the opposite of right?
The opposite of right is wrong.
To teach something as truth in God's Name is wrong. Correct?
To say, "God says to obey the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses" is what? Right or wrong, according to YOU?
To tell someone to go the wrong way is what? Is it wicked? I think it is!

Imagine you have stopped to get directions to someplace. The person you ask might say, "I don't know!". That is a right answer. They might know and tell you and that might be helpful or not. But what if they say they know, but they don't and they make up some way? I might call that "wicked". What might YOU call it?
