Don't be disingenuous about their presumptuous and provocative tone.

...Which means nothing to me.

Put this as a poll since there is so much anti-trump vibes here I don't know if anyone would answer it. It is a yes or no question meaning if you can find positive things to say or choose to expand your vote here (or want to "other it" as many do), but for now it's yes or not. Nothing is a fixed answer so we won't shoot you down if you said yesish.

Just curious.
Are you voting for Trump?

I voted "NO"
As I live in Holland:D
But also "NO" if I lived in USA:D

Pretending that you haven't habitually displayed tribal loyalty means nothing to me.

Oh, is that the box I'm supposed to belong in according to your calculations? I belong in the 'habitual tribalist" category... :D Please do tell me more about me, this is getting slightly more interesting now.

I respect that you're trying to be objective, unbiased, independent, etc. now but why pretend you weren't part of the republican/Trump "tribe" before? Or that the mere existence of atheists troubled you?

I'll never admit that atheists bothered me. To claim such about me is a absolute lie.

Your posts gave that impression.

I remember I started 3 or 4 threads back to back, on atheism in a 3 day time period once. Each thread asked a very specific question.

...I remember posters took immediate offense to those questions, and rather than debate the topic, they began a barrage of ad hominum attacks, and panicked, emotional responses, explaining how my *questions* were offensive.

That's when I discovered something interesting.

Being from the UK, I can't vote obviously, but if I could vote then I would have to have had part of my brain removed (perhaps that dealing with critical thinking and/or conscience) to ever vote for such a person. Whatever happened to integrity and honesty - not that it is common in politics anyway - but that is surely what one expects from leaders rather than deception and doing whatever is expedient in order to remain in power or further any particular aims. If one wants to compare despots all around the world then Trump could easily slide (slither, being the snake that he is) into being leader of some other country - where they would have as little concern for decency and morality as he appears to have - so he would no doubt be welcomed with open arms. Pity such is unlikely to happen, and instead we have him as head of the most powerful nation on Earth and possibly remaining so unless the American people come to their senses.

I'll put it this way.

I would rather not have creepy uncle Joe as president.

Let's just say I wouldn't let a socialist take control of the White House and have this Republic cease from being one. :)
