Ask About Islam

If they say la illaha illaalla mohammad rasullah..and believe in it...they are muslims.

Imagine if you said that about Christians lol
I do say that about christians.

I think it's dishonest to put them all in the same bag while pretending that there's somehow strength in those numbers. In reality they disagree so much that entire wars were fought over it.

Catholicism and Protestantism read the same bible and share similar stories, sure.
Nevertheless, they aren't exactly friends or in agreement about what that bible and stories really are all about.

As such, it is dishonest to lump them together and pretend they are all on the same side. They clearly aren't.

Well, that is your opinion. To me, if they say they are Christian who are you to say otherwise just because they believe a little different from each other. You cannot decipher and say they are not if they are.

But anyways, not important.

Do you have a question in Islam?

Well, that is your opinion.

It's not an opinion. It's a fact. It's why we have different names for the different factions.
And they are different factions because they believe different things.

To me, if they say they are Christian who are you to say otherwise just because they believe a little different from each other.

One doesn't go on killing sprees and bombings over "little differences".

Secondly, you are misrepresenting what I actually said.
I said it is dishonest to lump them all together for the purpose of pretending they agree and that there is strength in those numbers. This is not the case.

The fact is that there beliefs are so different that they require another label to be identified in terms of their beliefs. If this wasn't the case, there wouldn't be distinctions between shiites and sunni's or catholics and protestants.

Do you have a question in Islam?

Is rejecting evolution in your opinion a requirement for islamic belief?

In Islam, believing that theory and believing in that Allah didn't create mankind, would constitute shirk. Shirk is ascribing partners unto Him-be it human or otherwise...like believing in amulets, charms, more than one God. He created life and then denying that would put you in danger of Hellfire unless you acknowledge that Allah is the creator of all. So yes, you must denounce that "theory" of evolution and believe in the oneness of Allah.

First of all, Islam isn't perverted nor had it been. :)

Yes it had been. After Mohamed's death, variations in recitations from memory started to appear. That's when they decided to get it put into written form. Study your history a little better.

I don't really think you are sincere in your questioning. You seem to mock almost everything we say. This isn't very nice.

I opened this thread for people who wanted to learn about Islam, not for those to come in and just mock us.

I am very sincere in my questioning, and what I am doing is NOT mocking. What I am doing is disputing your spin. You're trying to trivialize my questions and simply dismiss them by calling them mockery. Nice try. Ain't gonna work.

Like so many other instances, I understand that this passage makes you feel uncomfortable..
Nothing in the Qur'an makes me feel uncomfortable.

It is you who feel uncomfortable. If I was in your shoes, I'd probably feel the same way.

There is no eternity without time. There are no actions without time, There is no cause without time.
Yes but time, as in eternity, is not about what a clock shows.
A clock is dependent on movement or decay of a molecule etc.
Elapsed time is also dependent on a frame of reference.

Eternity is not dependent on anything physical.

Do you really want to know or are you here just to cause hatred? As for the unbelievers, Again, in Islam, it isn't just a book of goodie goodies, Allah talks about many things. His punishments for those who do no believe...WARNINGS, he talks about heaven, hell, prophets, messengers, day of judgement and much more. But you seem to only concentrate on the unbelievers...why? There are many good things in Islam that you don't even take the time out to find out. In Islam, it encompasses everything. :)

Why am I concerned about unbelievers? The real question is why is Allah so concerned. He has devoted HUNDREDS of verses of pure hatred directed at unbelievers. If you want hatred, just read the Qur'an.

pft seriously, stop with the hatred. I am sure out of all the thousands upon thousands of men in the west and in Germany that there are men who abuse, rape, murder, and plain just are narcissistic...so please, stop the hatred. In every country, in every city, in every place there are good and bad people. In Islam, if those that commit such atrocities, will have their rude awakening if they don't repent and make towbah, then they will face their Creator.

Your refusal to answer yet another question is noted. The list is growing with every post you make.

That is simply not true.
Understanding of the concept is dependent on the understanding of the nature of G-d.
As G-d is in each and every one of us, in the form of a soul, it is clear that "G-d" is not a simple concept at all.

I'll take French dressing with that word salad.

Hello :)

I want to say, that I have memorized in Arabic the entire suratal Baqarah. It talks about many things. Talks about in the first few pages about wherein this book is truth and contains no doubt. Talks about those who believe in it and how they will be successful. Talks about those who have been warned and turned away (and Allah knows already who will believe or not) no matter if you warn them or not they will not believe --and in saying that, in Islam gives them the choice. So it isn't Allah misleading them and since he already knows who will believe or not, he puts a seal on their hearts (from their own making and Allah says they deceive themselves). Talks about how he created punishments for them. Which is perfectly normal for one who goes against God. Talks about those who cause corruption on earth and they claim they are coming in the name of peace. (sound familiar?) Talks about the hypocrites, talks about provisions Allah has sent, talks about how he gave adam the names of all things, etc. etc. etc....so when you say, what you read it was a shock to you...maybe you could reread it now and understand that what I am saying is a better enlightenment into the understanding of the first few things you read. Remember, when it talks about the unbelievers and hellfire they will face, remember it is not Allah that is just choosing, it is the choice for those who he already knows who will believe or not. :)

In the Quran, it says the beginning of the Quran, :)

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah
Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,
And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].
Those are upon
guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.

Preaching you own beliefs in no way mitigates the clear fact that your god hates unbelievers. And if He hates them, then it's your duty to do so as well.

Let me put the verse you are not putting it for someone to see.
(3:32) Say: 'Obey Allah and obey the Messenger.' If they turn away from this then know that Allah does not love those who refuse to obey Him and His Messenger.

What is wrong with this verse? I see nothing. Allah has every right to not love those who go against him. If you had someone come to you and you know he is bad, you know he will commit evil and he comes at you with a knife, makes you watch while he rapes your wife are you going to love this person? You know he is bad, you know he is doing evil and you know he will never stop. So, you gonna say, aww go ahead make my day, my wife is all yours go ahead and rape her but make sure you kill her after and I will still love you. .... what nonsense. You want to punish this person!

In Islam, the unbelievers that Allah knows that will not go to him, will not adhere to his last message, the ones that are so adamant in doing evil and not wanting to believe in Him, he has indeed made a place for them. And in Islam, Allah can do as he pleases.

It took me some time to come to Islam and I did turn away from it at the beginning, but then I came to reason. I turned away because I was scared...but I knew in my heart Allah is one.

Allow me to apologize and start over. I meant to say verse 2:98. It states that your god (and therefore anyone who follows Him), is the enemy of unbelievers. 'Enemy' is a very strong and loaded word. There is exactly zero tolerance in there. An enemy is one to be hated. Got that? Hated?

Only if there is an actual God. But that requires faith for you to believe in. Can you just let the rest of us have our faith and then try to find a compromise for this world. Or do you really have to claim in the end, that we must do like you or Hell?

As I've repeatedly said, the Qur'an consigns non-Muslims to Hell many hundreds of times (I am NOT exaggerating).

I hope people read the whole chapter, that contextualizes that verse, expands on it, etc.

Anyone want to read chapter 60 and tell this guy why he should read whole chapter? LMAO.

Why don't you? The above was a weak and transparent attempt to imply that KWED has it wrong. If you're so sure about it, speak up. Let's have a detail or two for a change.

Speaking of surah 60, please explain something for me. 60:6 (among others) says, "Allah is the Free of need". Seems to me that any entity that needs its creation to grind their foreheads into the dirt 5 times a day is the very definition of needy.

All we are asking you to KWED is some fair approach. Read that chapter lol.

Are you being fair by isolating and interpreting as an absolute statement instead of with:

إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَىٰ إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَنْ تَوَلَّوْهُمْ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ | Allah forbids you only in regard to those who made war against you on account of religion and expelled you from your homes and supported [the polytheists of Makkah] in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them—it is they who are the wrongdoers. | Al-Mumtahana : 9

Too funny bro.

This is the guy who reads Tafsir right.

Feigned derision seems to be your go-to. Weak. Very weak.
