Ask About Islam

No, am not claiming that at all. But every time I post he intervenes and ridicules and calls everyone a straw man and their views are so below his own. If you were sincere enough, you would see it as well am sure many do. :)
Ok. I will be sincere. Pigs are cleaner than most domesticated animals and safer to eat than chicken or fish. There is nothing special or unique about the hazards of eating pigs.

Sounds like it is difficult for some non Muslims to accept that in islam pigs are Haram, non Muslims soes not have to like or follow the haram rule, but maybe the just can't let believers have their faith?

Internet people bicker. Most non-Muslims have no problem with letting people practice their faith and are not in your face attacking faith in real life.

Who is stopping them?
Nobody stopping them.

But if you ask a Muslim about why they dont eat pork. And they answer "because our religion say we should not eat pork"
Then the answer should be. Ok thank you for explaining it to me.

No need for an argument just to argue. Its ok people dont agree, but no need to push someone down just because they accept that certain Foods can't be eaten

How hard can it be?

First, What you propose is not a standard to which I see Muslims on this forum or in the real world practice. And for those Muslims who do not criticize, they also fail to criticize those other Muslims.

Second, when someone asks why a group of people does x they're asking for the justification for it. If someone asks me why I do x saying that it's just what my people do is not a justification.

Third, if you don't want to discuss it then just say I don't want to discuss this.

seriously? I told him to go away and bother others isn't that enough of a hint? lol Do you always come to his rescue?

People who claim to know what Islam is, and yet do not accept it when told by Muslims this is how it is, not our problem :)

Justifying to who?

If a Muslim especially in RF says, I do not want to discuss it, they will be ridiculed by a few of the non believers (the standard group of 3-4 non believers who always have to discuss) and suddenly no matter what the Muslims says, it becomes fallacy, incorrect, straw man claims, false accusation of the faithful Muslims do not know their own teaching ( anyone recognize this?)

Yes. Seriously. You did that in post 617. He responded to you since. As I said, all you have to say is I don't want to talk about this.

What does he need rescuing from?

Jaya Jagannatha!
I'm just curious to know of prophet Mohammad had performed any of the so-called miracles, like walking on water, bringing back dead to life, etc......

Justifying to who?
To the person asking, of course. When I'm asked why I don't eat octopus or squid I reply because they are too smart. And I don't know enough about them to know if they have too much cognition to be morally justified in consuming. And I am erring on the safe side.

[snort] I'm sorry but I am just not sympathetic to that. In the real world that happens all the time. I am constantly being metaphorically pummeled by these around me who are either proselytizing or or trying to prompt me to affirm their religious convictions. Not to mention all the signs and the chick tracks on my windshield and the door to door God sales people. Prayer circles before dinner when I visit relatives. Interrogations about why I don't pray. Or why I won't go to church with them. I've had two managers at work start talking about their faith.

The most that you're getting is snarky disagreement on an open debate forum.

And who's problem is that a non-believer in a religious forum find it a bit difficult to find peace? Non-believer do freely become members in a religious forum.

Sounds like someone can't handle it well.

Yes, the main one is the Quran. :)

All messengers of Allah peace and blessings be upon them all, were given the ability to perform miracles. They all did so with Allah's permission.

One of Mohammad's pbuh miracles was that he was able to split the moon in half.

Another was Mohammad pbuh accepted an invitation, to the host’s dismay, called all thousand of his companions to join him in the meal. Yet, Muhammad personally served all of them from the small dish until each one ate his fill. In the end, the tray of food remained just as full as it was at the beginning of the meal.

Mohammad pbuh and his companions may Allah be pleased with them, were travelling. There water supply ran out and Mohammad had a small water container and he put in his hands and water started pouring out of his fingers enough for all and more.

There were many many more miracles example like prayers answered, sickness healed etc. :)
