Ask About Islam

I didn't not care if it sings, dances and does card tricks. Books are not and cannot be evidence of their claims.

It's true mind, it rather does speak for itself, though I suspect that claim has a different meaning to some than it does to others.

I agree with him.
It is unproven conjecture.
In which case you are demonstrably wrong. Of course, not knowing anything about evolution or its explanatory theory means that your opinion on the issue is as meaningless as Naik's.

ToE is a sprawling beast,

which attempts to show that mankind is no different from any other creature.
Here you show your ignorance of how science works. That mankind is essentially no different from other species (because we share a common ancestor and evolved with them) is the conclusion drawn from the observational and experimental data.

In other words, it becomes more than the well-known proven biological theory.
Evolution is a well-known, "proven" biological theory. It is pretty much as close to scientific "fact" as we can get. And every year there are new discoveries and research that add yet more evidence to the already enormous mountain.

Errr .. no.The theory of evolution has been developing over time, and is not constant. Some of it is proven, whilst some is not.

Again then since you ignored it, I only commented that the accepted scientific theory of evolution is not an hypothesis, as was claimed, the sweeping nature of the claim was not mine, I was merely responding to it, you're shooting the messenger again. Do you or do you not know that in science an hypothesis is very different from a scientific theory, it's a pretty simple question???

Maybe they should go to Hiroshima, and tell the Japanese that atomic theory is just a theory? :D:D:D:D

I don't. But you do.

Not relevant.

Not relevant.

No. It is not.

Who said I need science to prove the Quran? I don't need science to tell me what I believe. I don't need it to prove Allah is one. I don't need it to tell me that Allah exists because I see it everyday through his beautiful wonders and his gorgeous skies. I don't need it to tell me what you deny. It is relevant when one dismisses what they don't know. Just shows lack of willingness to find out.

Cool. Let's see you do it.

I don't have to prove anything to you. If you want to learn about Islam, sincerely, you can go learn for yourself. I already know my belief as truth. If you want to find out, go search and discover :)

Okay. Then stop telling me what you can do. I am only interested in people who are willing and able to quit their boasting, set aside their egos, and make a good faith effort to have a discussion. Shouting that people hate you or your religion just because they disagree with you is ridiculous.

What do you mean "metaphorically"?
So it wasn't 6000 years then?
It was, but it is about creation in terms of human generations, starting from Adam.

"The Most Merciful, Taught the Qur’ān, He created man" Quran 55:1-3

See the order of these verses? It says God Taugh the Quran, created man.

It means God by teaching the Quran, created a new generation of people, called Muslims. Likewise, by sending Jesus, He created another Generation of people, the Christians. So, what the Author of Quran means by creation in 6000 years, is creation by sending many Messengers to humanity and creating civilizations.
In this 6000 years period, Adam was the first Prophet, and Muhammad the last Prophet.

What is the theory of evolution?
Doesn't it have many different parts?
Not really.

SOME of the theory is proven, while other parts are not.
"Proven" is not a scientific term.
Which areas of the theory of evolution have insufficient supporting evidence to be considered a "scientific theory".

(TBH, I'm wondering how someone who has so little understanding of how science and evidence works is in a position to make such a claim in the first place. No doubt you will enlighten me. I'm predicting it will be some variation on the argument from personal incredulity.)

Have you ever thought that because you take things from Islam, that is where your religion is made up from? I don't understand how one can quote Quran and hadith and yet not make their own religion from it. This is something in Islam that is extremely forbidden. If you think that they are not open to interpretation, then what gave the right to bab or whoever to change the meaning of the Quran into something advantageous for them? No sincere believing Muslim will ever acknowledge this Bab or Bahullah over Allah and Mohammad pbuh. Just weird to me is all :)

The words of Baha'u'llah show me that he does not understand the Quran or Bible.

As the Quran says:
And We have made the heavens as a canopy well guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)! 21:32

Baha'u'llah is not a prophet. Because he shows he doesnt know how to do signs with words.

The signs of the heavens are not open to interpretation.

It is He Who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our signs for people who know. Quran 6:97

Baha'u'llah has no detail. None.

Muhhamad has detail in his words.

It is He Who sendeth down rain from the skies: with it We produce vegetation of all kinds: from some We produce green (crops), out of which We produce grain, heaped up (at harvest); out of the date-palm and its sheaths (or spathes) (come) clusters of dates hanging low and near: and (then there are) gardens of grapes, and olives, and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety): when they begin to bear fruit, feast your eyes with the fruit and the ripeness thereof. Behold! in these things there are signs for people who believe.

Pomegranate - Olive - Grape

I know of the pomegranate, the olive, and the grape.
Muhammad knows what he is talking about.
I believe his signs.

Edit.
Baha'u'llah is very good at sounding like he knows something but doesnt say what he knows.

I just wanted to say that I can further explain the pomegranate, the olive, and the grape if wanted.

You don't need science to prove the Quran.
By what means do you demonstrate it is then?

The Quran however has proven evidences of science that no man has ever known or have come to light until recently.
This is simply untrue. Every one of these so-called "scientific miracles" has been repeatedly debunked. I will start a dedicated thread on the issue. Feel free to pop over and we can examine your best claims.

The theory of evolution has been developing over time, and is not constant.
Indeed. Over the last century, the body of evidence supporting the theory of evolution has increased massively. It is far, far more certain now than it was when Darwin wrote The Origin of Species.
However, contrary to what you are hoping, none of its has been rejected. It has not changed.

Some of it is proven, whilst some is not.
Which parts?
