Ask About Islam

You need to talk with a learned person about that, but to my understanding, Muslims should not attack those who don't attack them. Muslims should also not break treaties unless the other party breaks them.
In other words, deception is not acceptable while a treaty is in force.

It's going to depend on who is doing the interpretation. The problem with scripture and people believing it's divine is it can be corrupted or used for violence. Yes it also says to be tolerant. So it isn't clear and can be used for war. It is being used that way.

Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

'Fraid so.
You were trying to explain why references to "husband" in the Bible actually mean "god", and I am still none the wiser.

In Corinthians, where it says..."The husband should fulfil his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband", it makes literally no sense if, as you claim, it actually means "God should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to God". Or are you claiming that god has a wife and he must take turns doing the housework?

Its a union between wife and husband. They speak the word of God.
God speaks through them, So they are gods. And they talk in symbols.

They have touched the mountain.
They have reached the level above Eden (Fig).

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:5

God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. Psalm 82:1

They are the mighty people.
They are at Gods right hand.

And people cant hear what they say.

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the Lord: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say. Jeremiah 5:15

Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine. Psalm 78:65

They are wine.
Thats what it means by the wife is a fruitful vine.

They are the sheep.
Thats what it means by the marriage of the lamb.

Valley - Hill - Mountain
Corn - Oil - Wine
Cattle - Goats - Sheep
Pomegranate - Fig - Apple
Brass - Silver - Gold

They have eaten the golden apple.

Their stories contain symbols/signs.
And they are repeating.

As the Quran says:

There is, in their stories, instruction for men endued with understanding. It is not a tale invented, but a confirmation of what went before it,- a detailed exposition of all things, and a guide and a mercy to any such as believe. Quran 12:111

Like the story of Noah and the flood.

But We saved him and the companions of the Ark, and We made the (Ark) a Sign for all peoples! Quran 29:15

The Ark has three levels.

A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. Genesis 6:16

Noah was on the Sea.
Noah saw the Olive (Oil).
Noah reached the mountain and he drank wine.

Level1 - Level2 - Level3
Valley - Hill - Mountain
Corn - Oil - Wine
Sea - River - Stream

The Ark was lifted up off the Earth.

The sea is higher than the whole Earth:

Iron - Brass - Silver - Gold
Earth - Sea - River - Stream

The unbelievers are drowning under the sea (Earth).

There are Muslims that believe a mountain of gold will appear.

Sea - River - Stream
Valley - Hill - Mountain
Brass - Silver - Gold
Corn - Oil - Wine

I am not a man of faith.
But I have become believer.
As I am listening to them.

They are speaking in twelve. They are speaking symbols into Zodiac wheels.

It says we will be judged according to our ways.
And they are speaking according to our ways.
Speaking our ways into both right and wrong, good and evil, truth and lies, into positions of judgement.

If a group of people or nation wants to be aggressive, they will always find an excuse or reason for doing so.

It is the imbalance of wealth in the world that causes much enmity .. religion naturally becomes a part of this, as most people follow their cultures and their versions of the divine.

Please don't take things out of context. The Quran was brought down during a period of 23 years. It was revealed during situations pertainin to what was happening at that time so you cannot just pick things out of the Quran and say it means that. In Islam, we have authentic scholars who know the Quran.

1. Islam urges Muslims to show kindness to parents even if they are non-Muslims.
2. Islam advises Muslims to treat neighbors kindly even if they are not Muslim.
3. Islam encourages Muslims to ensure justice and show kindness to non-Muslims who are not fighting Muslims.
4. Islam prohibits killing non-Muslims living under Muslim rule.
5. Islam prohibits wronging a mu‘ahid, (non-Muslim living in a Muslim land)detracting from his rights, or burdening him with more work.
6. Islam prohibits committing transgression and commands justice.

No, I'm going by real world examples. There are leaders of radical groups who have a PhD in Quran theology and take a violent message from it. When groups disagree on theology it is hard to say who is correct.

With secular humanism the most important aspects are well being for all individuals.

But forgetting that example, are gay people accepted under Quran rules? Trans people? Gay marriage?

I know people can find reasons to be aggressive. But one step is to remove books that are supposedly "messages from God". Then no one can claim it's divine word and no new prophets can say "God is giving me new instructions". When everyone knows these things are not real it will be a step in the right direction. Most religions are one person claiming they were visited by God or an agent of God. God does not speak to people, there is no evidence of any such personal God and all claims that there are are simply false.
Of course every religion says the others are false but theirs is real.
Islam knows billions of Christians actually follow made-up scripture about Jesus. Christians know Islam does the same. So right there you see it's possible for billions of people including scholars, theologians, people who devote their lives to study of the religion in various ways, are all following made up stuff. For centuries.
When people realize there is no afterlife or correct religion, no God who is on your side, it's just us, it might inspire us to work. together a bit.

It teaches in the Quran that Christians, Jews and non-believers will face an awful doom. And that Allah hates non-believers. That helps cause division and makes it easier to consider non-Muslin as "other". They won't be in the afterlife, Allah despises them? This isn't a helpful belief for world unity.

Who are they? Names??

No Men are men and women are women. We are not to act like each other. We are not to have sexual relations with our own kind. It is forbidden.

Just as it is in the Bible and has been taught in all Abrahamic monotheistic religions. It isn't allowed.

You must be joking..
What will be will be.

Politics does not require any 'god' or religion.
..but many of us need G-d. There is just too many people in the world who are suffering.
It is not just a matter of population, but more about distribution of wealth.

Those with sound religious knowledge realise that the times we live in are building up to the described apocalypse in book of Revelation. [ Bible ]

eg. when the world becomes ravished by disease, famine and war

It cannot be solved by 'east' nor 'west'. Ideologies that mankind put faith in have no power to save from injustice, except by knolwledge of righteousness.

eg. the sharing of wealth, as opposed to hoarding - creating opportunity for all nations

The Quran contains knowledge and theology from many sources.
The numbers were Hindu, Brahmagupta was the first to use the zero. When the Arabs were popularizing them they were beginning to be known in other places. But yes science was advancing in Islam after the darker ages brought on by Rome.
I don't know what you mean about the Bible?

The Quran DOES NOT CONTAIN KNOWLEDGE BUT FROM ONE SOURCE.

Allah claims the owner of this book himself and no other book on this earth has that claim.

Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi is the one who created algebra. Zero was applied and strengthened in the Arab world.

If a group of people or nation wants to be aggressive, they will always find an excuse or reason for doing so.
Indeed. And in some cases they find that justification in the violent and intolerant passages in the Quran and sunnah.

It is the imbalance of wealth in the world that causes much enmity
The Quran says that enmity and hatred for non-Muslims is a good example to follow. (60:4)

.. religion naturally becomes a part of this, as most people follow their cultures and their versions of the divine.
Indeed, religious people will often take guidance and motivation from their religious texts. Pretty obvious really.

..religious people will often take guidance and motivation from their religious texts. Pretty obvious really.
..and quite rightly..
However, the world today has no Islamic khaliphate since WWI
We therefore see lots of different groups with different aims.
..more political than religious.

Mankind doesn't need to follow a book to commit attrocities.
The Qur'an was revealed in a hostile environment where people wore daggers etc. etc.

..and out of that came a civilisation, similar to Christianity, that blossomed.
Not a coincidence .. and not based on fiction, as you portray.

..and quite rightly..
So when a group uses passages form the Quran and sunnah to guide their actions, it is therefore reasonable and justified?

However, the world today has no Islamic khaliphate since WWI
There have been caliphates established since WW1, the most obvious one being ISIS. The fact that you might not accept it as legitimate is neither here nor there. There is no supreme authority in Islam that can rule for or against any caliphate. They are essentially self-certifying.

We therefore see lots of different groups with different aims.
Yes. And?...

Mankind doesn't need to follow a book to commit attrocities.
No, but some groups do use books to justify their actions. That is undeniable.

The Qur'an was revealed in a hostile environment where people wore daggers etc. etc.
No it wasn't. When Muhammad started preaching, Mecca was a comparatively peaceful, religiously tolerant society. It only became "hostile" after his constant blasphemy and attacks on the fabric of society, and subsequent military attacks on Meccan interests.

..and out of that came a civilisation, similar to Christianity, that blossomed.
Not a coincidence .. and not based on fiction, as you portray.
So any religion that played a part in establishing a civilisation is necessarily true? Interesting.

Hasan al Banna was a learned person,he founded the Muslim Brotherhood and along with Sayyid Qutb,Al Banna argued that people concentrated too much on the "jihad of the heart" and on what he called "jihad of the sword",Qutb went much further but both were very influential on whats come to be known as Islamist extremism or radical Islam and offensive jihad.

"Israel will exist and continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it .”

I think he was referring to "learned people" he agrees with.
