Actually, I don't think that Christianity functions very well in ignorance.

I know this is an old thread but there is a question about the Bible I have asked many people on many different Christian boards. There is a story in Ezekiel about the valley of the dry bones and how they come together, get sinews and flesh and then come alive after God breathed life into them. What is your interpretation of this story?
How has your choice of career in biblical scholarship affected your beliefs?
Would you recommend the same or similar course of study who are interested in getting deeper into the roots of Christ?
What do you think of people like Kirk Cameron going around and telling people that even if they think they are good people they are really not good at all (asking questions like did you ever tell a white lie and so on)?
A_E: What do you think it means to be "joint heirs with Christ"?
What's your interpretation of Genesis?
I know that this was already discussed in this thread but it's late and I'm tired so I thought that staring at a computer screen at 2 AM would be a wonderful idea. Earlier in the thread...years earlier you stated that you weren't sure of your eternal salvation. I have never met a Christian who said this before. Now although I know we are here for more than God given fire insurance and I love life as much as most people, how is it possible that you are unsure of your eternal hope of being with the One who called you by name? Forgive me for being so blunt but you speak very bluntly and as I said in another thread I'm bolder behind a computer screen.
Thank you for such a quick response. I don't quite follow you, but to make sure that I ask a question, how is it possible that faith and hope in the promises of God cannot exist with assurance in the promises of God? If anything is sure it is most definitely the word of the omnipotent I AM.
Genesis is a long book.
How does this view fit with Hebrews 11:1?
