For sure!Really!
Who were you?
When?
Were you a pigeon?
August 2011?For sure!
Beenherebeforebefore
sometime in the mid 'oughts until August 2011
No, I was not a pigeon. I don't recall having an avatar, although I probably did...
there may have been a gap; however, I have no clear recollection of that...August 2011?
I thought they died in 2010?
Aye, I came here in Mar 2010.there may have been a gap; however, I have no clear recollection of that...
I do remember after everyone had been told it was being closed, there continued to be new and ongoing discussions for awhile after that effective date...
I believe that I looked at a number of other discussion boards before discovering this one...
and now it seems to be the Ancient Aliens and UFOs channel...although Oak Island/The Templars is giving a run at the title nowadays...Aye, I came here in Mar 2010.
There was a brief reactivation of THC discussion forums,
but topics were limited to THC programming. Do you remember
when it was called "The Hitler Channel" because of so many
programs about him? Funny stuff.
I think it depends on the interests of the membership at any given point. For example, during U.S. election years, political threads tend to get a lot of views compared to most other subjects. At the moment, threads about COVID seem to be a hot topic. So it largely depends on larger trends beyond the scope of RF as well as the interests of most active members.
This is merely an educated guess, but as far as thread view count goes (including from guests and lurkers, not just active members), I suspect certain keywords may play a role depending, again, on ongoing trends. For instance, if a member started a thread with "COVID," "Biden," "existence of God," etc., in the title nowadays, it could get more search-engine hits than, say, a thread with a relatively rare phrase such as, say, "epistemological rhetoric" or "demagogic propaganda" in the title.
A question for anyone experienced here at RF: Is it common practice to rate every post or just the few?
Thank you...You can rate whatever posts you want. Whatever speaks to you. Some rate a lot, some rate less. I also think there won't be many expectations for you to rate a ton of posts, should you not want to, as people will probably realize you're still new and getting used to things. Just have fun.
It's traditional to rate all of MY posts with "winner." Failure to can result in an infraction.A question for anyone experienced here at RF: Is it common practice to rate every post or just the few?
Infractions are better than infarctions. Not always a winner with that diagnosis. It's traditional to rate all of MY posts with "winner." Failure to can result in an infraction.

I'm sure this question has been asked before, maybe even by me. But refresh my memory, please. Can I start a thread, and if so, how?
I have a question.
Has the RF rules become m8re strickt? It serms like new OP more often are removed very fast if they contain certain issues or topics?
Are we getting less freedom of expression?
Not a critique...only a question
