I have a question.

Has the RF rules become m8re strickt? It serms like new OP more often are removed very fast if they contain certain issues or topics?

Are we getting less freedom of expression?

Not a critique...only a question

No, the rules haven't changed in years. As @SalixIncendium said, the only relatively new rule we have is the one about COVID threads.

When threads or posts are moderated, the reason often has to do with the wording, not the subject itself. Almost any belief is okay to express on the forums if one words their post in accordance with the forum rules. One of the few exceptions to this is COVID misinformation, which is prohibited regardless of how it's worded.

Is there a way to sort the forums on individual forum topics by date?
As the subjects of older forums are great it seems that no one (not absolute) replies to > about 2yrs

Not sure if this is what you're asking, but I've found the best way to see the most recent posts by date is by using the "recent posts" link.

I just joined RF, and on my first post I seemed to have encountered an issue that perhaps needs resolved. In my sig I have an image of my website logo that is linkable to my website. I don't ask or accept any monetary exchange. It's free for anyone to visit who may be interested in my personal spiritual journey. I can, of course, remove the link and image if that is necessary.

Thanks.

What does it mean that a user is "online"? There is a box on the front page that lists users online but if someone is not actively posting, what does that indicate?

Does that mean that the person has a window/tab open to the page? That the person has accessed a page (or refreshed a page) within a specific period of time? Does it mean someone has posted something within a certain amount of time? TIA.

The email verification system still needs to be fixed. I will look your friend up in the admin CP and validate his account now.

Edit: Your friend should now be able to post. Let us know if he has any other issues signing in.

Sorry, I just saw this.

As far as I know, being online means having accessed a page on the forum within a specific time frame, which was 15 minutes before the software update. After being inactive for more than 15 minutes, the old software would log you out.

I'm not sure how long the inactivity window is on the new software, though.

How do I make "spoilers"?

Like, if I want to post a song with explicit lyrics, how do I hide it behind a spoiler thing. I don't use a computer btw I'm on a phone

There are two ways. The first is to use the button for the spoiler-tag option, whose button is a struck-through eye. The second is to use the same option by typing the required code as follows:

[ spoiler = *reason here*] *spoilered content* [ /spoiler] (without spaces).

Entering the reason is optional; you can type [ spoiler] instead for the first part of the code.

I joined Religious Forums so I could post in Escatology. When I went there I could not find a way to post a thread and then I saw: You have insufficient privileges to post threads here. How do I get to post in this forum?

Hello and welcome to RF!

You need to have the Abrahamic DIR selected to access the Eschatology sub-DIR. I see you have already selected it, so you will just need to wait an hour or two for the system to register the changes.

Enjoy your time on the forums!
