I would say to keep that many posters going day after day and repeatedly returning for more for 27 pages is quite an accomplishment.
I love threads like these and apparently am not alone. After the threads about nothing specific like "The Last post is the winner," creationist threads are the longest on RF.
If only they realized that I make the forum move more, they would start kissing my feet.
The forum would be nothing without the counterarguments of the critical thinkers, without which this is just Sunday school. But you and people like you are also essential. And you add color with emotionalism and with Trumpian comments like the above.
I'm not really asking for that much, just a little respect for the effort I make to share ideas that are obviously reasonable and worthy of respect, at the very least.
I think that you respect yourself enough for everybody as we have just seen in consecutive comments. You have to earn respect. What you are entitled to is politeness unless you are rude yourself.
a believer who has given in to the indoctrination of evolutionary theory is a believer who has allowed himself to be confused by atheists, PERIOD.
This is how you lose respect.
Jesus Christ would not have even remotely accepted the idea that humans were evolved apes
Jesus didn't know where the rain came from or where the sun went to at night, so he's hardly our go-to guy or standard for scientific knowledge. He was a creationist like you.
Likewise, denying the biblical story about the evil character who contributed to the desolation of humanity by making our first human parents betray their heavenly Father, is to ignore the main cause why this world has gone from bad to worse since then.
The desolation of humanity? Gone from bad to worse? I also don't respect ideas like that one, nor the religion that teaches people such things. Atheistic humanism begins with the idea that human beings have the capacity for nobility and excellence. And meliorism is, "the belief that the world can be made better by human effort." Never in the history of man have so many people lived so long so well. We have eyeglasses for the nearsighted, automobiles and airplanes, refrigerators, antibiotics, public health and sanitation, workplace safety, contraception, and more.
Don't let the hate that these people spread affect you. One of their Machiavellian tactics is to try to bother the conscience of believers. It's an evil tactic that only works if you let it.
And I find nothing respectful or respectable about that, either. Your world is dark and you are uncharitable in your depiction of those who disagree with you. Here you are complaining about their methods and agenda, but it's you that spreads hatred and vitriol.
