Atheists: What if?

LOL, did you miss out. Surely some other posters will know of who and what I am referring to.

Once upon a time, we had a guy, a special guy, and one of his arguments, via one hoot of a thread, was that God existed because Creation was evident because ...look...hot girls...and thus proceeded many pics of what he considered hot girls. The REAL evidence of Creation. :D

That was my guess before I googled it.

What? Rejection of theism? Sure, but theres no atheist dogma to replace it with.
People attack atheism for what it is, but it is nothing. Its an absence of one thing.

Just one thing?
And when your chemistry fails....and there's no 'thing' waiting.....
you will be absent as well?

Why believe anything you say?

Just one thing?
Yep. It's the absence of theism.
And when your chemistry fails....and there's no 'thing' waiting.....
you will be absent as well?
This makes little sense to me. The 'ultimate truth' of the universe is unaffected by either my belief or disbelief.
Why believe anything you say?
If there's any rationale to this, you'll have to spell it out to me.
Atheism isn't a truth claim, no matter what some people say (including some atheists). It's the ABSENCE of a truth claim. So disbelieve me. Long as you're using your brain and have a rationale for doing so, I have no issue with it.

Because it is reasonable and logical, while the alternative is not?

Yeah, right...
And because we wouldn't accept it either way, the best course of action for your deity is to not present any evidence in the first place. This sounds reasonable!

I tell you what, if any such thing as you describe here would actually happen, I might be inclined to believe in him. And if he existed, he wouldn't even need to wait until I've fallen from a cliff, he could do this right here, right now...

But what you do here is like me saying:
"I can fly! But you wouldn't believe it, even if I showed it to you, so I'm not going to show you either way!"
Lame excuse.

And if ye be the Son of God....step from this high place and the angels will catch your fall.

(hint....it's a metaphor)

You claim there is no God.

and since your lack of faith has no effect.......

Your alternative is a grave.
(while ignoring the formation of billion of souls)

Mortality is known to exist, while the very existence of souls is speculative or perhaps just symbolic.

You make it look like we can choose not to realize that for some useful purpose. That... just ain't so far as anyone truly can tell.

and so it was written....
Do not cast your pearls before swine.

A harsh quote.... I know.

but the choice to ignore is always at hand.

Theif do you think your posts constitute evidence? Or even coherent argument?

You literally just shout religious catch phrases.

I think all poetry is "incoherent". I think it has to be to be poetry. Everyone but the historian on forum is unsubstantiated and are you scared?

Not at all, nor am I afraid of an Ebolla epidemic, doesn't make Alex Jones any less of a fear mongerer.

Not really, or at least not to the same degree.

Poetry isn't an argument or a valid point. Its expression and art. He is not a poet.

That saying has nothing to do with choice, - but with how they thought about people that did not believe in their religion, and fall into line.

It is a very ugly saying.

It is not about "people that did not believe in their religion". It doesn't have anything to do with religion. It is about communicating. What he is saying is if someone won't listen to what you have to say to keep talking is like throwing pearls at swine. It's beautiful!
