Beer

I don't drink much beer, don't particularly care for it, and am not particularly good at differentiating between the various types and brands.

That being said, I usually default to Yuengling when I go over my friend's place, where we drink beer.

Dos Equis.
I bought that once for the novelty, just because I knew that if I brought that, everyone would be making, "I don't normally ____ but when I do I ____." jokes all night while playing Halo and stuff.

Today, we're starting to install my wife's birthday gift to me... an outside keggerator for our BBQ! Woot! Woot! Now I just have to get a cool handle for the tap.

I prefer Tequlia, Rum, Bourbon, Brandy, Vodka, Scotch, Green Fairy, Jack Daniels Whiskey. All are better than beer. I am not much of a drinker anymore but when I do drink those are my go tos.

That explains your absence from this thread then!

(there was a whisky thread lying around here somewhere...)

Woot! Er... what's a keggerator? A pressure barrel?

It's a fridge unit for the beer and co2 tank, and with draft tower and tap. Basically, it's for the beer kegs to be in so you can serve nice, cold beer. It takes up to the 15 gal keg, but can do two corney kegs if you homebrew (as I do). So the next step is to upgrade the single tap tower to a double.

Essentially, it's making our BBQ to a Bar-BQ.

Ooooo Boddingtons....
When I lived in Manchester in the early 80s Boddies was a local independent brewer making tasty beer. Since presumably being taken over the recipe must have been changed to broaden the appeal. As my friend says, it's like sex in a boat (ie fukkeen close to water).

IMO.

This has happened many times. I used to love Ruddles County and Bass too, but these days they are insipid shadows of their former selves.

I SOOOOO wish i wasn't gluten-intolerant right now. I could really go for that combination again after talking about it.

There is an interesting Beer made out of my home town...

You will need to search in quotations for the article in the Toronto Star.

"Gluten-free beer a first in Ontario"

Gluten-free beer a first in Ontario

Burlington's Better Bitters was taken off-guard by the success of its gluten-free brew.

Has Hops, no Barley, and pear juice, of all things. Very Very Good for certain occasions, way way way better than a few others tasted recently.

I don't like to torture my self drinking bad stuff
Which smell and taste bad

It also put my health in risk

Sorry I don't

I make my own beer and spirits, its fun to make and great to drink, with no hangover like the brought stuff.:)

Whiterain

Get me off of this planet
Enjoy, I like Guinness, Belhaven, Hefeweizen, Ommegang abbey, Ale's, lager's.

American Beer continues to evolve and adopt old world recipes, it gets better with time, Yuengling is excellent.
