Yeah, that's a good point. But there might be aliens out there who are suffering, too. So we would have to destroy the entire cosmos somehow.

Gnostic Satanists, or one group of them anyway, do support the destruction of the entire universe actually. Lol.

The drive-by shameful comment would be at least minimally acceptable as a personal opinion if there was some type of explanation. Leaving it plain seems like a "just because" is the explanation.

We can expect an "That's gross" response, if it's simply shameful.

Then again, shame is irrelevant when it comes to love between consenting adults.

That's not necessarily so. It might just strand endless souls in an disembodied state with no means to reincarnate. Perhaps one of the functions of the incarnate state is to spiritually progress.

It honestly cannot be any grosser than the things I've heard that some straight people do.

In some respects, I think this begs a question: does having a sexual orientation have any meaning if you don't practice it? If you don't actually have sex, isn't it rather irrelevant?

Of course it has meaning. I suffer from attraction to the same sex but I do not act on it. Most people would say that I am bisexual because I suffer from attraction to the same sex and I am also attracted to the opposite sex. However, I am chaste and will not engage in sexual relations before marriage. I will also never engage in sexual relations with a woman. Neither will I ever enter into a "gay marriage". Most people of the Christian faith would say that I am not sinning just because I am attracted to the same sex. They would, however, say that I am sinning were I to act on those attractions.

Same-gender attractions are not an affliction to "suffer" from.

People who don't know their religion, this is a false illusion of tolerance. Biblically speaking, Jesus taught it was went on in the mind and heart that matters. So Jesus would say you are gay or bisexual regardless. Preachers and all the flock might not in attempt to appear loving and welcoming while still hating homosexuality and bisexuality.
