Biblical Archaeology.

.

I still don't think you have proven a thing with your biblical archaeology,
, but you have failed to see that the bible is completely useless as historical or archaeological sources, mickiel.

Again the favorite terms of Atheist and their ilk; Failed and Prove. They will tell you in a minute that you have failed to prove.

You can provide proof after proof, evidence after evidence, and they still are unable to see it. I think its because God has preconditioned their minds not to see it, which is why I waste no time trying to prove things to them. These postings are not for them, I post for two reasons, to show what and why I believe, and to then share what I believe to those interested. The bible is a goldmine of history. Most Archaeologist who are interested in it, have used it as a map to make their finds.

The bible has been used as a means of victory in wars. When fighting broke out between Jews and Arabs in 1947, the bible brought to light a simular invasion by Israel against Syria 2800 years ago, 2Sam. 8:5; 10:17-19. Believing the terrain would force a simular invasion route, the Israelites familiarized themselves with the countryside and the biblical details of that battle centuries ago. As expected, the Syrians followed the same route and the Jewish soldiers won the battle over Syria.

The bible also helped to discover an ancient road going toward Egypts central garrison. Under cover of darkness the Israelies sped along this ancient route and took the Egyptians by surprise. This is history taught in Israelie schools, and Americam Atheist who deny it, mean nothing to the history of these peoples.

The " Six Days War" ( June 1967) in which Israel overwhemingly defeated three countries- Syria, Jordan and Egypt- was due largely to these same tactics, using the bible as a terrian map and an historical war docuement.

Peace.

Did you know they have found " Nimrods Castle", Gen. 10:8-10.

I was just told that.

Peace

I just finished viewing pictures of this most stunning fortress built around 1229 by " Al-Aziz Uthman." Its in northern Golan Heights on a mountian ridge.

I tell you, the bible is just a stunning historical book.

Peace.

Did you know that we have " Mount Nebo", you know, the biblical mountian that Moses died on. Its in Jordan, and from it you can see the Dead Sea and the Desert of Judah.

This biblical mountian is real, just as real as Moses was.

Again, I still don't understand what you're trying to prove. The fact that Mount Nebo exists does not mean that Moses was real. It means that Mount Nebo existed and they knew that during the time when they were writing the Bible.

I also don't see why you continue to ignore the fact that your archeology means absolutely nothing. Especially when there is a lot of historical accounts that simply do not match up in the Bible and that we know to be false.

I am not trying to prove anything to you, so don't try to understand. I am showing why I believe the bible is an historical docuement, which has further led me to believe in the God it speaks of. Its a " Me Thing", its something for me, no need for your understanding.

Its supports things I need in my belief, and oh how the bible supports my belief. And oh how archaeology backs that up and helps support it.

Peace.

Then stop posting it on a forum that is supposed to be about debate and discussion.

Until you start looking at it logically, which is something you seem reluctant to do.

Isreals sea-port city of Eilat was idled because Egyptian forces on the Sinai peninsula had closed the gulf of Aqaba to all shipping. Jordian soldiers were threatening Jerusalem and the Syrians were pressing from the north near the Sea of Galilee. The Arabs vowed to drive Israel into the Mediterranean Sea, but the Israeli Air-force knocked out Egypts air force on the ground and their tanks followed old Biblical Paths through the Negev desert to rout the Egyptians from Sinai. This is solid history that no cynical Atheist here can change or deny and it would mean anything.

Simulary, Israeli forces stormed the old Biblical valleys and hills surrounding Jerusalem to capture Jordans part of the Old City, and Syria soon surrendered.

All real solid history, the bible was used as a map, a weapon, a calender, a guage, a periscope and a partner.

All of these facts are recorded in middle east history.

Peace.

Then why the heck are you posting it on a debate and discussion forum? This is forum for conversation, not for you to exercise your ego.

Its for both. For discussion, which I do everyday, and its for an excercise in my ego, which I must contend with everyday.

At least you're honest.

Still, I think it's ridiculous of you to disregard people's opinions in the manner that you have done here if you wish to promote healthy discussion.

I just don't want to talk to you, I had enough of your disrespect, I disreguard you.

I don't talk to you, so show me the same respect and leave me alone.

Why not just make a blog then? Why post something in a debate forum if you have no want to debate?

Is the reason you do not debate simply because you know that you can't and that a little actual research would show that you are wrong? Because what it seems to me is that you are afraid to look at this in a logical manner and instead will just blindly follow anything that supports your opinion. Maybe it is boosting your ego, but when it comes down to it, you've shown absolutely nothing except, if we take your logic, that Harry Potter, the X-Men movies, Homer's works, etc are all factual because they also contain accurate archaeology as well.

The delight of all Archaeologist is the discovery of an inscribed object- a " Stele"( inscribed monument), a clay tablet, or an Ostracon. Ostraca are pottery fragments used as inexpensive writing material. The " Potsherd" was inscribed with ink, and used for brief messages, letters, receipts, school texts, ect... Two inscribed " Rhodian " wine jars I saw recently are dated in the " Hellenistic period."

Excavations at the Old Testement site of " Lachish", revealed 18 " Lachish Letters", which contained information of political and military situations prior to the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar.

Simply fascinating stuff.

Why should anybody respect you when you disregard their opinions so easily?

It's not just me, but basically anybody on these forums who disagrees with you or brings up a counter-argument just gets dismissed by you. Why do you demand respect when you're unwilling to accept or respect anybody else's point of view?

At first, I was going to say "then the reason he's here is probably because nobody's reading it", but then I saw the number of comments his articles get and decided that wasn't fair.

Then I looked at the comments, and found that about 99% of them are him commenting on his own journal.

So, yep, nobody's reading his blog.

Considering Mickiels continued unwillingness to enter into discussion with anybody on this forum i put forth that these posts are in fact a blatant disregard for the forum rules on proselitysing.

Therefore i humbly ask that the moderators take action against this behaviour.

I don't like being called an ignorant hypocrite , and I don't have to respond to the people who call me that, such as you did. My not responding to you is my action against your behavior, because its not the first time you, or immortal flame have blurted out such verbal disrespect towards me.

I didn't ask this website to take action against you two, I took my own action, which is why I willnot respond to you again.

Peace.
