Can Atheists and Theists ever acknowledge each other.

Glad you think so, She probably found it amusing as well.

One person's discernment is another's judgement.
The word "filth" is perhaps personal commentary on what is discerned.

I know what I know, & don't know what I don't know
because of what I observe & deduce therefrom.
Whose approach is better?

yes perhaps "filth" is to strong a word.
I'm sorry.
I was thinking of myself at the time of the writing.

It is impossible to understand spiritual things without being clean.

if theist could keep their belifs out of politics, science, schools and rights of others, their would be little issue with coexistence.

If atheists could keep their beliefs out of politics, science, schools and rights of others, there would be little issue with coexistence. Telling people that God does not exist is just one example. Telling people that Noah's flood never happened, is another example. Telling people that God is not necessary for evolution to take place is another example. Need I go on?

If atheists and theists would adhere to the truth, and nothing but the truth, we might get along. But as I said before. It ain't gonna happen.

I offer a deal:
We'll keep atheism out of science, if believers keep religion out of it too?
I think that's fair.

Note: I know that neither of us has the power to enforce this deal with our fellows.

To be clear, there will be no more scientists claiming that God is not necessary for stuff to exist. And there will be no more denying by atheists that God created the universe. We will tell you why things exist, and you can tell us how everything that God created all works and operates.

No worries.

What is "clean"?

It is necessary to be a vegetarian.
I would think that most understand what it means to keep their mind free of defiling images and words.

feed your mind and body good things.
Seems like everyone would want to do that regardless of their religion, but that is obviously not the case.

Be honest with yourself and you will know what to do.

I imagine something simpler:
- Science will proceed with no denial or claiming of God.
- Religion will proceed with no denial of the scientific method.

This forum is chock full of diversity.
One person's defilement is another's sacred.
And how can one even think straight without wonderful bacon?

But I am honest with myself, even if you might presume otherwise.
And this has led me to where I am.
What makes you right, & me wrong?

That isn't the bottom line where it isn't applicable, i.e. most 'debates' about theism/atheism.
For the record I don't care what people worship.
But it is applicable to what iti oj was referring to.

For the record, I don't care either. But laws against me supported by religion and nothing else are the sort of thing iti was referring to.

I am not suggesting you are not honest with yourself.
I am answering your question.

I can see however that you have some problem with the idea.
you can start by being honest about the health benefits of eating bacon.

You keep stressing the need to be "honest".
One might infer from this that honesty has been lacking.
I suggest that we not use language likely to be seen as accusatory.
To consume bacon is to experience peace & joy, allowing one to think clearly.

You're new here, & perhaps unaware that I am the pontiff of pork, the baron
of bacon, the curate of cured meats, & the Herr Oberprofessor of ham.

There is nothing else i can say to you about this.
I understand that this is a debate forum and again i probably shouldn't be here because there are somethings that just can't be debated.

I agree that debate per se is inappropriate.
I'm just discussing things.
