Can Atheists Imagine?

Is this easier to follow?:
where is the strawman?
Much easier thanks. No straw man, but, here is where we got off track. When I asked have you ever done anything wrong for the right reason, you replied not with claiming it was endorsed by God.

Who claimed God endorsed this?

I can imagine many things. When I read a book and imagine unicorns and gryphons fighting in epic battles does that mean the seed for becoming a unicorn and gryphon believer is planted? I'd go with it simply meaning I have a mind and can use it.

And trust me... no seeds here.

Did you water it?

This was the post I was refering to. If I am wrong about your beliefs, please accept my apology. I would be glad to quote scripture at any time, but I have never said that one should lie.
But you did say that some Christians will do anything in order to save souls, that seems to include lieing to them:
Reverend Rick said:
No, I am serious. Christians will get you saved by any method they can. They have in the past and evangelicals will in the future.

What about this?

Yes I did say some Christians will do anything to save souls. I never said if it was right or what God thinks about it because I don't speak for God. God judges I don't.

Past and future remark, same deal. I started the ball and you all ran with it. I don't deny what I said, but I never said I did it or it was right.

It's leading to the question of why or even if it's okay for some to bend or break the same rules they're enforcing. Obviously I'm not saying that you do this, just curious as to your thoughts on it.

Another element of this parable is the soil that the seed is placed in which is the persons heart.

Never say never Luke. You have no idea how you life will evolve.
Trust me, I know better than most people my age life can literally change in a second. Tearing my ACL took away a potentially promising pro-wrestling career, which I honestly set my life up on being able to make a living doing that. I had no plan B. The one day, with a second, everything changed.
But, I am saying "Never" when it comes to me being a Christian again, or a "real" Christian for those of you who claim you can't unconvert from Christianity. I can't give my reason's publicly on RF, but it is a 100% garuante that I will not convert.

Nothing is a 100% guarantee, although I believe that is the way you see it now. I have high hopes of spending eternity with all of you.

When you put things in God's hands, a giant weight can be lifted off your shoulders. All things are possible with God. You can ask God for anything. No one is unworthy of his gifts.

The only thing I'd be asking for is to turn male overnight. Not only can I not be a woman, I don't want to be. Great for all those that are, but I'm not.

Somehow I doubt I'll get the magic overnight sex change, though.

Jaymes, I believe you when you say you need healed. If being healed means you need an operation there has to be a way to make you whole. All things are possible with God.

Don't worry, for we will.

When you put things in God's hands, a giant weight can be lifted off your shoulders.
Myself, I have lost my job a couple months ago, and have bills pilled to high heaven, and late fees stacking fast. I do not worry about it. I simply do what I can. And, after suffering through a few jobs I have loathed, I have a very good chance of landing a job I will enjoy.

All things are possible with God. You can ask God for anything. No one is unworthy of his gifts.
How about a new life? Parents that love and appreciate me? My injuries fully healed? Mental conditions magically gone overnight? And there are alot of other things I would ask for.

Believe it or not, I'm perfectly happy as an atheist. I don't have any anger or bear any grudges toward Christianity, I just find, after years of soul-searching, that I'm simply an unbeliever. I don't feel any gaping, god-shaped hole in my life, and to be honest, there's nothing that I'd want from any god. All said, I'm pretty content.

I asked:
Nowhere can I find in the Bible that Christians are allowed to break Gods commandments in order to convert.
Perhaps you can point one out to me?
Your reply:
I would be glad to. I am not required to be perfect and without sin. There has only been one person on this planet that could make that claim, and he is too humble to do so.

I am forgiven, that's why I can pull this off.

One time I attended a church and we needed a new Pastor. The church elders found fault with every candidate. I said I knew a perfect candidate, but he had denied that he knew Christ in the past several times. They all raised their eyebrows at me. I said that he was good enough to author several chapters in the bible however.
Yet you did not present a single verse.

Isaiah 64:5

Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

Isaiah 64:6

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righeousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isn't that sometimes called a "holy sin?"

Or maybe "the ends justify the means."
