Can gays or bisexuals be Christian?

...... I am a Christian, and I love Yeshua so much. If I could take a special pill to not be bisexual, I would. Why would I choose to be demonized by the three Abrahamic faiths.

What is Not acceptable in Scripture is fornication ( porneia ).
So, anyone who is single should Not fornicate.
Porneia includes more than natural sex between male and female, but wrong to have sex with an animal, etc.
I find the ' past tense ' is used at 1 Corinthians 6:11 A.
So, anyone who is single can choose to be single as Jesus was.
Since we are nearing the soon coming time of Revelation 22:2 when there will be ' healing ' for earth's nations, then righteous mankind will gain human perfection as originally was in Eden. This is why we are all invited to pray the invitation of Revelation 22:20 for Jesus to come ! Come and bring ' healing ' to earth's nations.
In the mean time, we can all follow Jesus' teaching of what is morally acceptable to practice.

Indeed you can. The bible is flexible enough, that really, so long as you are not having a relationship with someone who is already married? You're pretty good to go.

Those that claim otherwise, pretty much ignore most of the rest of the bible anyway-- so just ignore those people--- they think they have the right to tell everyone but themselves how to live.

Or he could marry a man, assuming that he is male. Then those acts would not be fornication.

But as the Blue Letter Bible points out:

Strong's Number G4202 matches the Greek πορνεία (porneia),
which occurs 26 times in 25 verses in the Greek concordance of the KJV
And in all 26 cases "pornia" is only translated into English as fornication.

Nothing at all about homosexuality, lesbianism, or intercourse with animals etc.
source

for·ni·ca·tion

ˌfôrnəˈkāSH(ə)n/
noun
noun: fornication; plural noun: fornications
sexual intercourse between people not married to each other.

So as Subduction Zone points out, this little sin can be remedied by a couple of "I dos."

Attraction to flesh is just that, flesh. Christ taught that the flesh profits nothing, and it's the spirit that makes you alive. John 6:63

Flesh is flesh. Male is flesh as well as female. The spirit (between two) is more important than the flesh. The flesh dies and rots. Be spiritual.

Just my thoughts.

It's not a question of choice. The Bible condemns homosexuality, along with adultery, pederasty, catamites, bestiality, drunkenness, drug use, lying, stealing, murdering, kidnapping, witchcraft, sorcery, astrology, and things of that nature. If you like doing those things, and I used to like doing a number of them, then in order to follow Christ, to gain the possibility to live forever in paradise Earth as Adam was intended to do, without sickness, disease, or old age. Violence, crime, etc. Then you have to stop doing all of those things.

If anyone tells you different, they are wrong, I'm afraid, no matter how wonderful it may sound. I don't say this to be mean, I don't say this because I'm homophobic. I say it because the Bible makes it clear. You have to decide which is more important. Those things or following Jesus.

Jesus never said anything about homosexuality. He did not always take the O.T. laws seriously. But if you are going to follow that one you would need to follow all of the other silly OT laws to not be a hypocrite.

No, the Christian Greek scriptures made it clear that only some of the Laws of Moses were in effect to the Christian, including homosexuality, but rather than stoning to death the perpetrator was only removed from the congregation until repenting.

Why would one repent for something that is no a sin? And that is not following the OT laws. By the way, calling them "Laws of Moses" is shooting yourself in the foot a bit.

I'm pretty sure I explained to you early upon my arrival that Old Testament was a misnomer. Based upon a Latin mistranslation of the word covenant. There is no Old and New Covenant, and so no division between an old and new testament.

A sin means literally to miss the mark, so if you agree to meet me at the library and you don't show, that's a sin against me. If the elders in the congregation say homosexuality is a sin, and they did, then it's a sin. I don't know how you define sin, but that's what it is. And how would I be shooting myself in the foot by saying, Laws of Moses?

And I am sure that I explained to you that Moses is a fictional character. Better to use a misnomer than an outright fiction.

And by your standards homosexuality is no longer a sin. People may have had the mistaken idea that it was a sin in that past, now . . . not so much.

It's a definition question.
Define Christian sufficiently, and the question is answered.
Don't define Christian sufficiently, and the question is unanswerable.

So I have to be alone and miserable? That is your opinion. It is better to marry than to burn with passion. I love Yeshua, and both genders.

Then you have nothing to worry about, so long as you marry the opposite sex and don't commit adultery, or fornication or steal, murder, etc. Even if you were homosexual and did that, or abstained from homosexual sex. Or anal and oral sex with even the same sex marriage partner. These are unnatural uses of the creator's gift of reproduction. (Romans 1:18-27 1 Corinthians 5:1)

No, because the sex is still unnatural. It's like, if I invented the baseball bat and people started using it for sexual penetration or violence it would be an unnatural use that repulsed me. God made sex for reproduction. He made it pleasurable, but intended it to be used in a specific way.

That's your opinion. But not really relevant. If I told you that Professor Dumbledore was a white wizard who was known in Middle Earth who sometimes rode a horse named Shadowfax and Gandalf was the headmaster of Hogwarts I would be wrong. All you would have to do is point me to J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings and J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. Those are fiction. The Law Of Moses and the Apostle Paul, even if they didn't exist, made their position clear on the subject of unnatural sex. You can't change it because it seems to have gotten more acceptable, besides, even in their own time those things were more acceptable than today.

According to whom? That is the question. You can't reject those standards just because you reject the existence of the people who allegedly presented them. And you certainly can't reject those standards while embracing them or pick and choose which ones you care to uphold. You yourself rightly pointed that out when you said "But if you are going to follow that one you would need to follow all of the other silly OT laws to not be a hypocrite."
