As others have said, you can't worship something you don't believe in.
That said, I've played D&D, watched the Harry Potter films and listen to heavy metal music, all things I've been told are satanic so I guess that counts. I've not witnessed any negative consequences as a result of any of those things.

I suppose that's the big difference between me and theists. I simply am not capable of 'sincerely' worshiping anything that I have no verifiable evidence to suggest actually exists. How theists are able to turn off their logical thinking rational brain in order to do so is simply beyond my ability to comprehend.
Why?
What you are saying is atheists be a hypocrite.
No matter what you worship or not things happen.
Example 1, a neighbour died earlier this week. He was catholic as most 90 odd year olds are around here.
Example 2, last year my husband (atheist) was diagnosed with cancer. An operation saved his life, no religion involved, just the skill of the surgeon.

I think Christians can reluctantly worship Satan. They may not want to, but either by giving into temptation or going to the wrong Church or not standing up for Christianity, they believe that they're worshipping Satan and bad things are happening in their lives!

It's not nonsense that you told atheists to fake it. It's not nonsesent that Satan doesn't want worshiped. In fact, when Satan tempted Eve and freed us from the shackles of Jehovah, He said "ye shall be as gods." And, indeed, what other god can we know other than our self?

Yet you've never earnestly worshipped Satan, so it's your word against theists, whether they are theistic satanists, or not.
Some religious people don't believe that Satan has enough power or such, to be in any position of worshipful power, that's your best argument.

You can't force yourself to believe in something, so how can you worship something you don't/can't believe in? It would be insincere. But regardless, worshiping any gods or devils all yield the same results.

Of course I've never worshiped Satan, why would I worship something that can't exist. My word against who? Some polytheistic people who believe a god they call satan can oppose another god.
God is unlike anything else. If you ever luck into experiencing God, you'll know that there's nothing that could be in opposition to it.

Back when I was an atheist as a kid I tried to pray to the god taught here, never got any kind of response and remained atheist for decades. I did stop trying quite early on though, still had to sit through mandatory religion classes for years growing up.What happens if the same things happens when you worship Jesus or Jehovah?

OK. I tried -really hard- to worship Satan. It worked. He appeared before me. It was truly awesome. Now, I'm not going to say that He looked anything like the popular impressions of him. He didn't. He was so much more MORE. I can't think of any other words.
He told me, without using actual words, that He truly appreciated my sincerity. He confided in me that it was He who wrote the entire NT. All of it. All the Jesus stories, the miracles, the Sermon on the Mount. Everything. He then told how he spread copies around and worked to get people interested. He said He did it to dissuade people from believing in the one true real GOD. The Lawgiver described in the OT. He did the same with the Arabs in later years with the Koran. People who worship Christianity or Islam are not in the favor of the OT GOD. Even Christian fundamentalists, who believe in Genesis, will spend eternity in Hell for moving way from worshiping the Lawgiver GOD. He reminded me of the Lawgiver's words...
And then He was gone.
