Charlie Hebdo to attack Muslims again

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
Why?

The people the cartoons are directed at have a history of violence, prudishness, and misogyny. All of these have hurt other people.

Is that a threat? It sure sounds like a threat.

I have no problem with people attacking my atheism. People do it all the time. I can defend my beliefs without resorting to putting a bomb in their house.

Your Mohammed tried to stifle any competition by making it an evil to attack him. That was pretty smart of him. Fortunately, most people don't give a d**n what some old man allegedly wrote hundreds of years ago.

Trump hasn't gone that far yet
A minority of Muslims has a history of violence. Not every Muslim is evil people not is Islam an evil religion.

What about the whole "there is no compulsion in religion" thing? Murdering a bunch of people for drawing cartoons seems a little compulsive to me.

I thought Islamic law was only supposed to apply to Muslims?

Islamic law is for Muslims yes, as far as I know anyway. But my question is, why bring that horrendous drawing back now? Why can they not leave it? Has not the world seen enough Islamophobic actions?

When will this ****ty "satire" magazine stop harasment of the Prophet Muhammad?
Again they are planning to re publication of the idiotic drawings from 2015. Did they not learn anything last time?

Christianity suffers worse by far in this free society and it still stands, why are you afraid of criticism and secular sarcasm, or are you just looking for justification for your own wrath?

Because people shouldn't bow to intimidation. Freedom of speech is a right worth fighting for, IMO.

I think you missed the point of what happened at Charlie Hebdo...

I have never said you or other have to follow Islamic teaching
Your OP is a complaint that people are not following a specific Islamic teaching.

I have never said you or other have to follow Islamic teaching, but I do not understand why people can not respect that Muslims should not create picture of Muhammad, you do not need to follow a teaching to show respect to what it say.
What Muslims are being forced to create a picture of Muhammad?

When a group is bent upon taking away a civil liberty,
it does inspire exercising that liberty, lest it evaporate.
Islam is a threat to free speech & religious freedom.
Resistance is useful.
It's not Islam itself that's the threat. This isn't an "us vs. them" thing.

I didn't know that that rag was even still around. They can do what they want, but this does seem stupid and pointless. Must be desperate for cash and attention.

You question falsely prioritizes blasphemy over murder. And over the right of people to commit what some see as blasphemy without being murdered.

I think they will stop (and I hope not before) when:
1) Those Muslims stop being psychopathic about us painting in the West
2) Those Muslims stop intimidating AND imposing their religious doctrine on us
3) Those Muslims stop killing us for our paintings/cartoons in our free country.

Islam is a belief system that has scripture, which a great many
interpret in a manner that inspires theocratic authoritarianism.
Look at countries where it rules. It might suit Muslims, but not
those of us who like free & open discussion of religion & politics.
We don't cane people for casual sex, or execute them for
blasphemy.

Of course, I've long said that individual Muslims will vary
from that tendency. Some do indeed embrace the peace
part of the "religion of peace".

It didn't stop them
IMO:
We learned at least that we are in our right (the killers were killed)
Yes, sadly those Muslims still didn't learn it; bad (understatement) habits die hard
(Killing over drawing is what I place under spiritual ego/arrogance; Scriptures declare it's impossible to cure)

Hence I have no problem at all that the West keeps depicting Muhammad
I hear Muslims easily quote "if you kill a human, you kill humanity"
I wonder how they cheat themselves out of this one

Bible is clear "Love is highest Commandment"
People killing over drawing, I don't see them as human(e)

Islam, like Christianity and other faiths teach from their holy book. Those books contain good and bad with no way within the books to distinguish so its down to the teachers to sort out how teaching their religions go. Which is why you find good, honest believers and funnymental terrorists all reading off the same page

Not really.

What the world has seen is a lot of civilized people scared to death to offend them, given their propensity to blow everyone up. And even people who justify their killing because they touched poor Mohammed. Awww.

and I am proud that there is someone showing some balls and defiance, by publishing those cartoons again.,

What the world has seen is the invasion of an intolerant culture that did not go through any enlightenment, and we are supposed to respect by default for some mysterious reason. Or Swedish girls harassed in Malmö because they wear a mini skirt. Or show their blonde hair, or are not dressed like Batman.

I wonder what would happen if they made the Mohammed equivalent of The Life of Bryan. An atomic war?

How you wrote the OP, you give a very strange picture of reality, as if this "magazine" here is the "bad guy"

I do hope, that you realize that those Muslims who did the killing were the really Adharmic bad guys?
