Christians what do you think about Trump's convictions

I am going to vote., just for not either Trump or Biden.
All well and good but the next president will be one of them. Your non-vote for neither of them won't change that and might inadvertently contribute to the more dangerous one being elected. We dont escape responsibility by voting neither.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

Not where I live. The electoral college votes should go to one particular candidate. It's not even close. If that changes, I may change my mind, but only if.

It irrelevant. We have no way to know what the impact of any of our given decisions will be. To decide not to act because we've decided our decision won't make a difference is irresponsible in my opinion. I would rather make a decision and have if amount to nothing than to do nothing and have things destroyed.

Well, I'd rather be able to sleep at night, knowing I didn't vote for either one myself, but you do you and I'll do me. It's not irrelevant though. We disagree on that point, but oh well. I am not "not acting," by the way. I'm not doing nothing. I simply am not voting for either of the two major party candidates as it stands right now.

Because he has shown he has more credibility than his haters.
But then, I never said I believed him about being a dictator. As I pointed out before, he just says those things to rile up his haters, and is very effective at it.

Huh. So we ignore the things he does and says when we don't like them but we pay attention to the things he does and says when we do like them. Kind of sounds like confirmation bias to me

I know right? Claiming he graduated at the top of his law school class when he was actually very near the last. And claiming he threatened a local gang leader named, "corn pop". Oh yeah and claiming he was arrested while trying to visit Nelson Mandela in jail. Pretty sick huh? And the most despicable, accusing the truk driver that accidentally killed his first wife of being drunk when it happened saying the guy "drank his lunch" even though the guy wasn't. And the filthy liar never apologized. I feel ya bro.

First that poster does hate trump as do you so you're off to a bad start. I wish people had the courage to not lie but that's not the case here.
Hate? Maybe. I find Trump loathsome and contemptible, and I wish the worse for him because my conscience tells me he deserves it. Why doesn't yours? You stand with about the worst human being on earth. Why?
Next when hate is the source of someones motivation then anything is justified in the destruction of that which they hate. We have seen that played out for the last 8 years with rabid dog leftists willing to do anything to "get trump".
I know that you see it that way. How do you explain the success of the system "getting Trump"? Trump has been ruined, and the system's not done with him yet. Why have people been able to do that to him in your opinion if it's not justified or required by law that they try and he's not guilty as charged? Is the right that weak or stupid?

How is it a whataboutism? Does his description actually match what a democrat did? That can't be! Democrats are supposedly so superior! Nothing bad can ever be spoken about a democrat.
Except how it took a Republican (Abraham Lincoln) to combat the democrats wanting to keep slavery.
Or how a democrat (FDR) put Japanese people in concentration camps.
Yet it's democrap that keeps claiming it's Republicans who want slavery and concentration camps.

I support things that are good for the people. I don't think any government funded thing is good for the people.

:joycat:

Yeah, because universal health care is "not good for the people".
Yes, risking to go bankrupt because you broke a limb or get an illness that puts you out of the job market for many months is "much better for the people".

Let's be serious here... when you say "good for the people", what you really mean is "whatever fits my religious beliefs".
In reality, objectively, you couldn't care less about the actual well-being off people.

I bet you don't mind help in health care for the weak when it is church-funded instead of government funded.

That is weird, Trump has not defended himself? Why is that?
Maybe his lawyers figured that it's best for him to shut up instead of opening his lying narcistic mouth?

I think it is wrong to force people to pay "healthcare" for others.

It's not "for others". It's for everybody, including yourself.
Also, do you also have the same objection when it comes to "forcing" people to pay for the "security" and "safety" of "others"?
Like, you know... when tax money is used to fund the police department, the fire department, the military,... ?

Or is consistency not relevant here?

And I think people should take care of themselves

So you are an anarchist who is against solidarity and charity?
Every man for himself, is how you think society should be organized?

No, human rights and freedom are more important than submitting to quacks.

"quacks"?
Providing affordable health care to citizens is... the work of "quacks"?

mmkay

In any case, I think people should be free to help others, if they want, not forced to do so

Okay. So next time you call 911, they shouldn't be forced to respond? They only have to respond when they feel like helping somebody?

When people have the right to decide by themselves, they can have some control over is the money used in a good way.

It's funny because the US (both the citizens AND the government) spends more money per capita on health care then if it would have a system of universal health care. Meanwhile, the health care is detrimental (unless you fork over insane amounts of cash, off course).

Here's a fun fact for you... Maybe you could do the exercise of comparing how it would be in your utopian US without universal health care.

Last month I found out I had a inguinal hernia. It requires groin surgery to fix. Here's my full path from diagnose to fix:

I visit the housedoc for initial diagnosis on a monday. She confirms and gives me the phone numbers of 3 different surgeon specialist who can help me with that.
Cost of the housedoc visit: 4 euro.

I go home and research all 3 (where they studied, where they work, what their experience is, etc - I want the best one, even though all are off course very qualified).
I pick one and phone him up. I can go for consultation on thursday that same week. Cost: 35 euro (of which I get 25 back through universal health care some time later).

He schedules me for surgery 10 days later. So week 3 after my first doc visit. Cost: nothing. Fully covered.
I go through surgery later afternoon and spend the night at the hospital. I get 3 meals. Cost: nothing. Fully covered.

I don't pay any premiums every month for health care. Nobody in my country does. Because everybody pays a little.

Your "control" costs you, and everybody else, a premium. And unless you pay even more, you will likely have a wait list waaaaaaay longer then 10 days.
In fact, I'll be willing to bet that many people in the US don't even get surgery for an inguinal hernia because they can't afford it and it's not life threatening (unless intestines get stuck in it off course, but mostly that isn't the case) or even very painful. It's mostly just inconvenient.

But it's "good for the people" not to have affordable health care, ha?

And about Jesus, did he ask for money to heal people? No, maybe you should also not ask for money.
Well, when doctors learn how to heal people using magic and not require expensive extensive training and great skill, we can talk.

It appears money is more important than anything else to you.
Which is kind of strange, because if money is so important, he should be PRO affordable health care.

Countries with universal health care spend LESS money per capita on health care and they do NOT require citizens to pay hefty premiums to get coverage.
And even with those premiums and coverage, they STILL get monster invoices when they need to get some surgery done.

It's insane.

Well actually you are "not acting" by voting for someone other than those two because only one of those two will win. If one is stupid and the other is evil their impact may be exactly the same but one is result of stupidity not evil. Id rather have a student president than an evil one. To not act to prevent evil even if you do something else is still "not acting".

Oh so you prefer some lies over other lies. I have no problem with that I just wish people could be honest about it. It's hypocritical to complain that another candidate lies when the person you support is a liar.

If you can't be honest enough to admit you hate trump then you're a liar. If you believe trump is the "worst human being on earth" then you're delusional. Im not sure how one converse rationally with a delusional liar.

That's not what my post said at all, speaking of lies

I really don't support or even like Biden. All I said was that certain people were quick to believe what someone said about only being a dictator for one day when they had demonstrated they wanted to glom onto their power as much as possible when they attempted a self coup and had no qualms about compulsively lying. What's also troubling is that the guy speaks of dictators and authoritarians in terms of praise and admiration especially in the way these dictators utilized their control over people. That is my point of contention
