Not this time. It was an open and shut case. Trump clearly did what he was charged with doing. Financial crimes are among the easiest to prosecute to conviction.

I can't stand Trump but I don't feel like he's being treated fairly. Oh well, I do think he deserves whatever happens to him. I feel like he's a pretty terrible person.

If he deserves what happens to him, then he is being treated fairly. What do you find unfair? The results of an investigation were shown to a grand jury that decided that there was enough evidence of criminality to indict. This was then presented to the trial jury, which unanimously agreed with the prosecution that Trump was guilty. He was offered a chance to testify and to present witnesses. His attorney vetted the jury and cross-examined the prosecutions' witnesses. That's what a fair trial looks like.

I never expected Trump to get a fair trial in NY or DC.

But he did get a fair trial. His only hope now is some technicality that invalidates the jury's verdict, but is that really a good thing for him if it leads to another trial and conviction?

I don't know anything about a paper trail. An appeal wouldn't work if that were the case. And the jury in their deliberations did not ask for paper but for witness statements which indicates they didn't have enough on paper.

The paper in question are the 34 vouchers, invoices, and cancelled checks. The jury didn't need to ask to see those. They were shown them as part of the prosecution's case.

For example the case E.J.Carroll against Trump and Tara Reade against Joe Biden. If Biden would not be above the law, he would be judged the same way as Trump. But, interestingly in Trump case everyone believes Carroll's dubious claims, and Reade is defamed. It is disgustingly evil and hypocrite.

Biden was judged the same way as Trump - by comparing the facts and the law. The laws were the same but the facts were different, and so the conclusions were different, just as with the classified documents comparison between Trump and Biden. The were judged according to the same laws, but the fact were different, which is why one was indicted but not the other.

I don't live in a womb. I'm viable outside it. You'd have to find a different method to end my life. Also, a fetus is not a baby. A baby is also viable outside of a womb.

Poor states struggle, because they have done things badly. They should elect leaders who can make good decisions.

You are correct, but that's not going to happen. The poorer states are also the more religious, least educated, and most MAGA. Their citizens are the most easily indoctrinated, which is why they keep electing Republicans, who keep them down.

In America, those are the Americans who care about their neighbors. It's the Republicans who are self-centered. They don't care about you. They don't care how poor you are or what rights you lose as long as you can keep buying guns.

Imagine how conflicted they must be now over Hunter Biden's conviction for buying a gun illegally. Those are people who want him to be able to buy that gun and as many more as he wants. Now, they have to pretend to having standards to restrict gun sales.

In these cases it is not about freedom of speech, but about causing falsely harm to others. Speech should be free, but if you for example lie so that it harms others, you would be guilty for the harm done and deserve penalty for that what you did to the other person.

I'm glad Trump is able to get under your skin with mere words. People call him a dictator, so he goads them by saying he's going to be a dictator. They call him Hitler, so he then uses words such as Reich.

First that poster does hate trump as do you so you're off to a bad start. I wish people had the courage to not lie but that's not the case here.

Next when hate is the source of someones motivation then anything is justified in the destruction of that which they hate. We have seen that played out for the last 8 years with rabid dog leftists willing to do anything to "get trump".
