Actually, it was suicide. He was told they were not friendly to strangers trespassing, which is a crime, and that they had a history of killing them. He went anyway. That's a suicide mission.

Yes. What part of their culture are you not understanding? They want to be left alone. They will kill those who approach them. He went there to deliberately destroy their culture forever, so I have no sympathy for him. What he did was irrational and downright suicidal.
What, do you expect them to quarantine him, do blood tests and run a bioscan? The way they saw it, this guy was another invader who was going to either kill or trick them, based on prior experience.
He was armed with a destructive ideology that wanted to eradicate their culture. That's equivalent to someone tearing your house right down in order to build one he likes.
