Incidently I am of jewish descent..(mother's lineage)..wasnt going to mention it but I thought as I am almost on the verge of being accused of being anti semite I should perhaps mention it...notice the star of david incorporated into my very cool avatar....a recognition of my ancestry.

Of course I am not circumcised...

Reality check. you are not Jewish. and no one really cares about the descent of people here, its whether they are contributing members, casual members who stay for a while but would not be a long time debate partner, or an ******.

Reality check..

You don't really know what you are talking about as you dont know my family lineage so cease the presumptions ;)

I am saying I harbor no ill will towards Jews, if I did, I would hate my own grandmother.
Which I don't.

Now...as for what kind of member I am...you will discover that in due course...right?

Same, which is very odd. Even same about not being circumcised, LOL

If male circumcision is mutilating i dont want to know what you'd call female "circumcision". You know thats a real problem unlike male circumcision.

See that's odd that female circumcision is somehow more taboo then male circumcision. They're both mutilation procedures. Double standard much?

And, yet, I don't know any man who doesn't enjoy sex after being circumcised. Where as, a female is not meant to enjoy sex after being circumcised.

Indeed...no one is saying they cause the same problems for men and women.

But mutilation they are and mutilation they remain....there is no avoiding that fact.

Why does that fact alter the fact that in fact circumcision is mutilation for either gender as a matter of fact?

I have news. They've proven that being uncircumcised makes sex more pleasurable for the man. They keep saying it's about being more pleasurable for the woman. What's that to me? :rainbow1:

Meaning what? It's mutilation, therefore it should be banned?

I think that you overly stretch the definition of "mutilation" by including circumcision, and the wide net you cast with it would include other things like, say, ear piercing for little girls... another practice that I don't think warrants an outright ban, even if I wouldn't put my own kids through it.

Well seeing as circumcision removes a good deal of the nerves in the penis, what do you think those nerves do? ;)

Seeing as many men have a problem with too much sensation this isn't really a good argument, it could even be argued as a positive.

I have no feelings on circumcision one way or the other since it wasn't done to me but I do agree it should probably be left up to the child when they are an adult. Good luck though trying to implement some kind of law against thousands of years of tradition and culture.

Ear piercings are generally a choice. That's the difference. Circumcision should be a choice, but then they know that no one would do it. No one would want the mutilation of a perfectly healthy body organ, it's insanity.
