COL 2:16 And The Sabbath - Are You Being Told The Truth?

Matt 23:2-3
2 "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.
How does this work?
C'mon, Surely you've heard "Do as I say not as I do," The advice is simply coming from a third party.

The women rested on the Sabbath, then early next morning while it was still dark they came to prepare the tomb of Jesus with spices, only to find it empty.

The first time that Jesus appeared to His disciples, was on the day after the weekly Sabbath.

So, you are correct in saying that the risen Jesus, appeared to his disciples for the first time on Sunday, the day after the weekly Sabbath.

From an early web site I created.

The "first day of the week" was symbolic to Christians because it was the day that Jesus rose from
the grave. "Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre,
bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone
rolled away from the sepulchre."
Beginning with this Sunday, Jesus guided His disciples to gather every
Sunday. Jesus appeared to the disciples on the following Sunday. It was on another Sunday (seven weeks
after the resurrection) that the Holy Spirit appeared to the church on the day of Pentecost.

God's LAW (10 Commandments) are for all of God's people.

I like to see the verse on this one.

If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL you have no part in the new covenant promise... HEBREWS 8:10 And this is the covenant that I will make with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL (from JEREMIAH 31:31-34). Also demonstrated and already proven from the new testament scriptures found in EPHESIANS 2:11-13; GALATIANS 3:28-29; ROMANS 9:6-8; ROMANS 2:28-29; COLOSSIANS 3:11; ROMANS 10:11-13.

Let us check what apostle Paul wrote to the Romans:

Romans 9:3-5 New International Version (NIV)

For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.

It is true that before Christ was born, the Lord God is with Israel and not with any other nation.
God was not with the Babylonians, Egypt, MesoAmericans, China, India, Mongolia and other nations in the world.
The true God was worshiped in Israel alone.

2 Kings 5:15 New International Version (NIV)

Then Naaman and all his attendants went back to the man of God. He stood before him and said, “Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.”

Israel is a nation and the Israelites were a race

I like to see the verse on this one.

No problem how about many scriptures? Although I do not think it will make any difference as you seem to prefer man made teachings and traditions over the Word of God.

So you have no excuse this time only new testament scriptures will be provided here. You do believe that the new testament scriptures are for God's people right MJ?

Are you ready? Here we go...

WHAT DID JESUS AND THE APOSTLES TEACH ABOUT GOD’S LAW
(the scriptures below are no where near exhaustive)

Jesus taught the 10 commandments…..

1. Jesus kept God’s Law (10 commandments) and said the Law and the prophets would not pass away (Matt 5:17-18)
2. Jesus taught others to follow the 10 commandments (Mark 10:17-21)
3. Jesus taught that Love is the fulfilling (doing) of God’s Law (10 commandments Matthew 22:36-40)
4. If we break God’s Law by following man-made traditions we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
5. Jesus says if we commit sin we are a servant of sin and he has come to free us from sin (John 8:32-36)

7. If anyone is breaking any of God’s commandments and teaching others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven <least = lost> (Matthew 5:19)
8. No one can obey God’s Law producing the fruit of obedience of ourselves and unless we abide in Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:4-10)

Paul affirms the Ten Commandments……

4. Paul asks that gentiles consider the doctrine of LAW "Do we then make void the LAW of God by our faith? God forbid! In fact we establish the Law of God" Romans 3:31
5. Paul tells ALL Christians that it is only the lost who will "not subject themselves to the Law of God neither indeed CAN they" Romans 8:6-8
6 Paul reaches all Christians under the NEW Covenant that God's LAW as known in Jeremiah 31:31-33 is "written on the heart and mind" Hebrews 8:7-11
7. Paul tells all Christians that the OT text is to be used for Doctrine 2 Timothy 3:16
AND He never claims that "if I did not write it -- it is not scripture for us today" -- as one or two have imagined for us.
8. Paul tells all Christians that the 5th commandment is the "FIRST commandment with a promise" Ephesians 6:1-2 and is binding on all Christians.
9. God's Law (10 commandments) are holy, just and good (Romans 7:12)

14. We are saved by faith but our faith establishes the Law in us (Romans 3:31)
15. If we are saved by grace we should not break God's Law (Romans 6:1-7)
16. We should not break God's Law if we are under grace (Romans 6:15)
17. We are to serve the Law of God through the mind because that is where sin starts (Romans 6:17; 7:25; 8:4; 12:2)

19. God's salvation frees us from sin so we can be obedient to God's Law and live a life of holiness (Romans 6:22)
20. We will be judged by God's Law and only those that are obedient will be justified because of their faith (Romans 2:4-13)
21. God's Law can only be obeyed through love and a changed heart which comes by faith in God's Word (Romans 2:21-29; 13:9-10; Heb 8:9-10)
22. If we break God's Law and are in unrepentant sin we will be lost and will received God's judgements (Hebrews 10:26-27)

John affirms the 10 commandments……

1. John says it is only by keeping God’s 10 commandments that we know that we know God (1 John 2:3)
2. If someone says that they know God and do not keep God’s 10 commandments they are lying and not telling the truth (1 John 2:4)
3. We should purify ourselves as Jesus is pure (1 John 3:3)
4. Sin is the breaking of God’s 10 commandments (1 John 3:4)
5. Whoever is abiding in Christ does not commit sin (1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10)
6. If you are in unrepentant sin you have not seen Jesus or know him (1 John 3:6)
7. John warns us that only those that are obedience to God’s Law are his true followers (1 John 3:7)
8. If someone is committing unrepentant sin they are following the devil and not God (1 John 3:7)
9. If you are born of God and abiding in him you will not commit sin (1 John 3:9; 1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10
10. It is the keeping of God’s commandments that is the difference between those that are following God and those that are not following God (1 John 3:10; 1 John 5:3)
11. It is only by Love through faith that we can keep God’s commandments (1 John 5:3-4)
12. God’s true believers in the end days will keep all of God’s commandments through faith in Jesus (Revelation 14:12; 22:14)

4. The 10 commandments (God’s Law) are the standard in the judgment (James 2:12)
5. If our faith does not have the fruit of obedience to God’s Law it is dead and not true faith (James 2:16-26)

Peter affirms the 10 commandments……..

1. Sanctification is to obedience to God’s Law (1 Peter 1:2)
2. We can only be changed from sin to obedience to God’s Law by the power of God and it will be revealed in the last days (1 Peter 1:5)
3. We should give up our sins to be holy because Jesus is holy (1 Peter 1:13-16)
4. Jesus is your example who did no sin (1 Peter 2:21-22)
5. Cease from sin and do not live in the flesh (1 Peter 4:1-3)
6. Judgement will begin at the house of God and sinners (those breaking God’s 10 commandments) will not be saved (1 Peter 4:17-18.
7. God has given us his precious promises and as we believe them God will grant us his divine power to live a life of Godliness (obedience to God’s Law; 2 Peter 1:2-4)
8. The Un-Godly (disobedient to God’s Law) will be like Sodom and Gomorrah (2 Peter 2:6)
9. If any turn away from God’s Law and are in unrepentant sin breaking any of God’10 commandments they will be lost (2 Peter 2:20-22)
10 God is not willing that any should perish but that everyone should come to repentance and turn away from sin to follow God’s 10 commandments because those that do not will receive the judgements of God (2 Peter 3:5-14)

What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament?

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matther 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)

Your welcome again!

On the map above, please show where you live and what tribe you belong
so we could certify you as an Israelite.

As shown earlier there is the physical nation of ISRAEL than there is God's true Israel as defined in God's Word in the new testament as those who believe and follow Gods' Word.l

Physical ISRAEL as shown in the ealier post you did not read is NOT God's true ISRAEL.

ROMANS 9:6-8 [6], FOR THEY ARE NOT ALL ISRAEL WHICH ARE OF ISRAEL,: [7], NEITHER, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SEED OF ABRAHAM, ARE THEY ALL CHILDREN: but in Isaac shall thy seed be called <Christ> [8], That is, THEY WHICH ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE FLESH, THESE ARE NOT THE CHILDREN OF GOD: BUT THE CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE <those who believe> ARE COUNTED FOR THE SEED.

As shown above God's ISRAEL in the new covenant are not the physical children of the flesh. Gods' Israel are all those in CHRIST that have been given a NEW HEART according to the NEW COVENANT promise *Hebrews 8:10-12...

ROMANS 2:28-29 [28], FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY; NEITHER IS THAT CIRCUMCISION, WHICH IS OUTWARDS IN THE FLESH: [29], BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY; and CIRCUMCISION IS OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE LETTER; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

In the NEW COVENANT all those in Christ are are God's ISRAEL...

COLOSSIANS 3:11 [11], WHERE THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: BUT CHRIST IS ALL IN ALL.

Gentiles are now grafted in *ROMANS 11:13-27. If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL dear brother you have no part in the new covenant promise...

HEBREWS 8:10-12 [10], BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: [11], And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. [12], For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

The new covenant promise is for God's Israel which represents all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God’s WORD. If you are not part of GOD'S ISRAEL then you are not a part of the NEW COVENANT (Hebrews 8:10-12).

Now did you want to discuss what the thread is about which is the true meaning of Colossians 2:16-17? I can see your trying your hardest not to.

Ignoring God's Word brother does not make it dissappear. Recieve Gods Word in the Spirit it was given (Love) and be blessed. If you do not want to discuss the OP here it may be better for me to post a very detailed scriptures study on God's Israel in another thread so we can discuss the subject elsewhere as your only going off topic.

May you receive God's Word and be blessed.

No problem. so you do not eat shellfish? You do not eat pork? You do not mix wool and cotton in your clothing? You leave the land fallow every 7th year? You force women to live outside your town when menstruating? You stone people for adultery? You buy your slaves from the nations surrounding you and are free to beat them as long as they don't die within a couple of days?
You have a confusion things, though that is understandable from a position of ignorance (no knowledge). So, I will answer your question, if you really desire to know and understand the answer.

[1] shellfish and pork are Laws of Health, and apply at all times, from Eden (no flesh), to after sin (Abel, fat (symbol of sin), and only clean accepted as sacrifice), days of Noah (only clean sacrificed, and for any 'clean' flesh which was eaten (allowed only for a limited time; see Hosea 4:1-6, etc), it would shorten the life of man, Genesis 9:3-5). The body in the Bible is the real temple of the Living God, thus anything which goes in, could only have been from the clean, and the original diet was always of the "seed" (type of Christ Jesus, his word and doctrine). So from Genesis to (Acts 10:14, 11:8, 15:20) to Revelation (18:2) unclean and abomination are always so.

[2] the mixture of clothing (summer vs winter wear) is again from natural to spiritual, as God gave the lesson in not mixing. Clothing deals with character, filthy rags, pure robes, etc. In other words, no "lukewarmness". There is also a health matter here, but that might go over some and leave it for now.

[3] the 7th year of land deals with Laws of sowing and reaping and still apply. Those who don't are already reaping their blasted lands, their withered crops, and must continually try to add amendments to strengthen their depleted soils. If they would follow God's command, they would recognize the wisdom of God in obeying His rules.

[4] as for the "FLOW-ers" of the woman in her time, There is no place in scripture, where said woman was to be placed outside of the camp of the saints for 7 days. If you refer to Leviticus 15, it says she then 'unclean' and she is to count 7 days for 'her separation'. It doesn't say separation from the camp, its speaking about sexual contact, and from contact with the blood, and that which it has touched. Others, also in general commentary, if you would desire to understand, and not merely accept my word, but other learned men, state it exactly as I have said, see John Wesley (Methodist) Commentary, "... Put apart - Not out of the camp, but from converse with her husband and others, and from access to the house of God. ..."; John Gill (Baptist, Calvinist), "... not out of the camp, nor out of the house, but might not go into the house of God: ..."

This is what happens when persons do not carefully read the original source material, and in this case prayerfully, for God's book is not an ordinary book.

[5] Stone people for adultery, is the same as stoning people for sabbath breaking, see the following:

If you do not desire to watch, read the Powerpoint here (it's too involved to simply re-cite here) - Powerpoint

Short answer is, yes, such are to be stoned still, after mercy and repentance, is rejected, but it takes place with the "camp of the saints" (which presently is in the 3rd Heaven above, and must await its coming down at the 3rd Advent, then shall such unrepentant sinners (transgressors of God's Law) meet such executive judgment, stones of fire shall fall upon then, with the Amen of the saints)

[6] Leviticus 25 is "bondmen", "bondmaid" was dealt with by God in gradual stages of recovery from the fall into sin to the slavery thereof, as Jesus stated on like issues, "... from the beginning it was not so.", in reading Leviticus 25, God wasn't commanding bondmen to be had, but knew that they would in spite of the origin of mankind (Adam) in freedom, and told them so, saying "... which thou shalt have ...". He doesn't say, "which you should have". They were as children coming out of their own bondage, and so God gave laws protecting the foreigner from cruelty of Egyptian like bondage (Exodus 20:2) under their hand. If you read prayerfully, you will see that God did not allow such as followed Him to be "bondmen" but were to be treated as brothers (who might be as an hired servant if waxen poor), and this was to be their lesson, that God did not want that for anyone, for God desires all men free from sin. Yet, in their hardness of their heart, God protected those whom they might otherwise abuse. God hears even the cry of the 'heathen' (Matthew 15:28, etc).

So, such things as 'slavery' (not from God's hand) exist in this world fallen with sin, and God acknowledges it in truth. God even gave laws protecting such under such conditions. It's like giving further maintenance and care instructions for a vehicle that has already been in a wreck. Do not expect those instructions to be the same as those of an original pristine manufacture. They are special instructions dealing with special circumstances. Yet I already know what antitheists will say. :) God already told us what they would say, and it's in the Bible.

Exodus 21 in the matter of 'smit[ing] ... with a rod', is dealing with correcting an error. God also corrects with the 'rod', and fathers are to correct with the 'rod'. Vs, 20 is clear, to beat/strike with the rod (such as a belt, stick, shoe in modern times) to the intent of death, that person is then subject to death. Life for life. Capital Punishment. If your own parents did not correct you when you erred, then they did you a disservice, for that is not love. Even of lower intelligent creation, such as pets, are corrected when they err. How much more then, in the higher intelligence?

You really ought to stop reading atheist websites, or the atheist bible, and read the real one in all seriousness to see what God actually says therein, not in part, but in the whole.

In scriptural time, a day is from evening to evening, as you have said. The Jewish day consisted of 12 hours of darkness followed by 12 hours of daylight, The weekly Sabbath began as the sunset on Friday afternoon and ended as darkness ushered in the 12 hours of Sunday night.

The Jewish day began at sunset and consisted of 12 hours of darkness followed by 12 hours of Daylight.

Jesus said; "The Day has 12 hours has it not, so work while the light is with you.

It was not 'NOON' when Pilate passed judgement on Jesus, as most bibles claim, it was the sixth hour of the 12 hour of darkness (MIDNIGHT) on the day of preparation to the erroneous Jewish Passover. See RSV John 19: 14.

See Mark 15: 25 RSV; He was nailed to the cross on the 3rd hour of the 12 hours of daylight, (9 AM) on the day of preparation to the Passover, darkness covered the Land at the 6th hour of the 12 hours of daylight (NOON) on the day of preparation to the Jewish Passover, Jesus died on the 9th hour (3PM) on the day of preparation to the Jewish Passover, and was buried just as the sun was setting on the day of preparation to the Jewish Passover, just as the Jews were preparing to eat their pascal Lambs in the evening of the 15th day of Nisan, which is the first of the seven day Festival of Unleavened bread, a Most High Sabbath, but not the normal weekly Sabbath..
I agree. Not sure where anyone got the idea that I had said or taught that it was "noon" when Pilate passed judgment on Jesus. In fact, I do not remember ever mentioning "Pilate" or "noon" on this whole board until now.

Yes, Jesus was crucified at the time of the morning sacrifice (circa 9am), and died at the time of the evening sacrifice (circa 3pm).

I like to see the verse on this one.
Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of [the] man.
Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

See that verse 13? it reads in Hebrew:

Ecc 12:13 סוף דבר הכל נשׁמע את־האלהים ירא ואת־מצותיו שׁמור כי־זה כל־האדם׃
Ecc 12:14 כי את־כל־מעשׂה האלהים יבא במשׁפט על כל־נעלם אם־טוב ואם־רע׃

Just in case you don't read Hebrew, here's transliterated Hebrew:

12:13 šôf Dävär haKol nish'mä et-häélohiym y'rä w'et-mitz'wotäyw sh'môr Kiy-zeh Käl-ädäm
12:14 Kiy et-Käl-maáseh häélohiym yävi v'mish'Pä† al Käl-ne'läm im-†ôv w'im-rä

Thus, all mankind of Adam are to keep God's commandments. Not only Adam the first, but also Adam the Last, for the Sabbath was made for "the man":

Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for [the] man, and not [the] man for the sabbath:

Mar 2:27 και ελεγεν αυτοις το σαββατον δια τον ανθρωπον εγενετο ουχ ο ανθρωπος δια το σαββατον

Gen 1:27 so called LXX καὶ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον, κατ᾿ εἰκόνα θεοῦ ἐποίησεν αὐτόν, ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἐποίησεν αὐτούς.

Notice:

1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1Co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

So is Jesus another (last) Adam, the second "man", according to the texts?

The "sabbath" was "made" (creation; Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:11) for "the man", yes?

Good, now read:

Col 1:16 For by him [Jesus] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col 1:16 HNTDD כי־בו נברא כל אשר בשמים ואשר בארץ כל הנראה וכל אשר־איננו נראה הן כסאות וממשלות הן שררות ורשיות הכל נברא על־ידו ולמענהו׃

Therefore, Paul, under inspiration of the Holy Ghost, who speaks what Jesus says, coming in His name, says that the Sabbath was made/created "for him [Jesus]", and thus all in him, even as it was for the original Adam and all in him.

No meme needed.

5. Jesus says if we commit sin we are a servant of sin and he has come to free us from sin (John 8:32-36)
6. Jesus taught if you love God you will keep God’s Law and abide in His Love (John 14:15; 15:10
7. If anyone is breaking any of God’s commandments and teaching others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven <least = lost> (Matthew 5:19)
8. No one can obey God’s Law producing the fruit of obedience of ourselves and unless we abide in Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:4-10).
[/QUOTE]

Jesus kept God’s Law (10 commandments) and said the Law and the prophets would not pass away (Matt 5:17-18)

Right, the Law and the prophets would not pass away. No Sabbath here.

Further, the Law was modified, retracted by God even before the Lord Jesus was born.

From the Book of Hosea [approx 734 BC]

Hosea 2:11 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

I will put an end to all her celebrations:
her feasts, New Moons, and Sabbaths—
all her festivals.

Jesus taught others to follow the 10 commandments (Mark 10:17-21)

But of course, he was. But if you were candid, honest with your verse. You would note that Jesus did not teach the Sabbath but rather omitted that on this teaching. Your verse:

Mark 10:17-20 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

As he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up, knelt down before him, and asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: Do not murder; do not commit adultery; do not steal; do not bear false witness; do not defraud; honor your father and mother.

He said to him, “Teacher, I have kept all these from my youth.”

Where is the Sabbath? Nada.

You should be discussing the validity of the Sabbath because that is your topic.

Ten Commandments list

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. You shall make no idols.
  3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
  4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. ---- REPEALED BY GOD
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You shall not murder.
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You shall not steal.
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  10. You shall not covet.
Isaiah 1:13 New International Version (NIV)

Stop bringing meaningless offerings!
Your incense is detestable to me.
New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations—
I cannot bear your worthless assemblies.

4th commandment was abolished
Who abolished the Sabbath? The Lord God Almighty

When was it abolished: 700 years before Jesus Christ was born

Proof: Isaiah 1:13 and Hosea 2:11

Please shorten your posts.
Do not use the work of others.
You have to focus!

As it turned out the first 2 are rubbish.
I really don't want to examine rubbish.

We are talking about the Sabbath not the other 9 commandments.

Your response...

Keep the Sabbath day holy. ---- REPEALED BY GOD

Shemot/Exodus 20:8
Remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it.

Devarim/Deuteronomy 5:12
Keep the Sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord your God commanded you.

Shemot/Exodus 31:14
Therefore, keep the Sabbath, for it is a sacred thing for you. Those who desecrate it shall be put to death, for whoever performs work on it, that soul will be cut off from the midst of its people.
Six days work may be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the L-rd; whoever performs work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death.
Thus shall the children of Israel observe the Sabbath, to make the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant.

Vayikra/Leviticus 16:31
It is a Sabbath of rest for you, and you shall afflict yourselves. It is an eternal statute.

Vayikra 26:2
You shall keep My Sabbaths and fear My Sanctuary. I am the L-rd.

Yeshayahu/Isaiah 66 :22-23

"For, as the new heavens and the new earth that I am making, stand before Me," says the L-rd, "so shall your seed and your name stand.
And it shall be from new moon to new moon and from Sabbath to Sabbath, that all flesh shall come to prostrate themselves before Me," says the L-rd.

Yechezkel/Ezikiel 46:1-4
So says the L-rd G-d: The gate of the Inner Court that faces toward the east shall remain closed the six working days, but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and on the New Moon it shall be opened.
And the prince shall enter by way of the vestibule of the gate without, and he shall stand at the doorpost of the gate, and the priests shall offer his burnt-offering and his peace-offering, and he shall prostrate himself at the threshold of the gate, and go out, but the gate shall not be closed until the evening.
And the people of the land shall [also] prostrate themselves at the entrance of that gate on the Sabbaths and on the New Moons, before the L-rd.
And the burnt- offering which the prince offers to the L-rd; On the Sabbath shall be six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish.

And who said that you taught that it was "noon" when Pilate passed judgment on Jesus. Do you have some problems in comprehending that which you have read?

Go back and re-read post #140, and this time slip your brain into gear.

And BTW, Jesus, who is understood to have been the true Pascal lamb, was not crucified at the time demanded by the Lord God our savior, according to the OT.

Exodus 20:8

Who should remember?
Who should observe the Sabbath?
I am a Filipino, not a single middle eastern blood flows through my veins.
Should I observe the Sabbath???

From the Bible:

Exodus 31:13
Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy.

I am not an Israelite
So what am I?

Exodus 31:16 New International Version (NIV)
The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.

Israelite, descendant of the Hebrew patriarch Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel after an all-night fight at Penuel near the stream of Jabbok (Genesis 32:28). In early history, Israelites were simply members of the 12 tribes of Israel. After 930 bce and the establishment of two independent Hebrew kingdoms in Palestine, the 10 northern tribes constituting the kingdom of Israel were known as Israelites to distinguish them from the southern kingdom of Judah. The northern kingdom was conquered by the Assyrians in 721 bce, and its population was eventually absorbed by other peoples.

You said it had been repealed. Doesn't matter who you are. Since non-Jews are never called to observe Shabbat, who exactly is it repealed for then?

Jesus kept God’s Law (10 commandments) and said the Law and the prophets would not pass away (Matt 5:17-18) Right, the Law and the prophets would not pass away. No Sabbath here.

What??? You do know brother that God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 Commandments right and heaven and earth have not passed away?

MATTHEW 5:17-19 [17], Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. [18], For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. [19], Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

May you receive God's Word and be blessed, ignoring it does not make it dissappear.

You my friend are confused. So in your view JESUS, PETER, PAUL and the other Apostles were all lying and we should not believe anything in the old and new testament scriptures? As for me I believe God's Word. Accoding to God's Word (not mine) God's LAW (10 Commandments) in the new covenant give us the knowledge of Good and Evil; Sin and Righteousness *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and if we break any one of them we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:10-11. I believe God's Word why don't you? JESUS says if we follow man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God we are not following God *Matthew 15:3-9.

I believe God's Word how about you?

From the Book of Hosea [approx 734 BC] Hosea 2:11 Christian Standard Bible (CSB) I will put an end to all her celebrations: her feasts, New Moons, and Sabbaths—all her festivals.
Now if you read the OP you would know what this is talking about but you didn't so you cannot be helped. Ignoring God's Word does not make it dissappear. You do know that this scripture is talking about the New Moons, and shadow sabbaths in feast days right and not God's 10 commandments that the new covenant scriptures tell us give us the knowledge of sin when broken right *Romans 3:20?
Jesus taught others to follow the 10 commandments (Mark 10:17-21)
Correct! So if JESUS taught others to follow the 10 Commandments why do you not follow the 4th Commandment seventh day Sabbath which is one of God's 10 Commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *Romans 3:20?
But of course, he was. But if you were candid, honest with your verse. You would note that Jesus did not teach the Sabbath but rather omitted that on this teaching. Your verse:
You do know JESUS also taught others to keep the Sabbath correctly right *Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; Mark 2:27-28.

Mark 10:17-20 Christian Standard Bible (CSB) As he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up, knelt down before him, and asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: Do not murder; do not commit adultery; do not steal; do not bear false witness; do not defraud; honor your father and mother.” He said to him, “Teacher, I have kept all these from my youth.” Where is the Sabbath? Nada.

Not really brother. How many commandments are there in God's 10 Commandments; 9; 10 or 613? Here is a hint * Deuteronomy 10:4. If you read Mark 10:17-23 JESUS was quoting the commandments of our duty of love to our fellow man. The rich young rulers response was all these things have I done from my youth up v20. Then it goes on in v21 (please pay attention) Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said to him, One thing you lack: go your way, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.v22, And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

JESUS was teaching the rich young ruler that ok you may have kept the 2nd six commandments of your duty of Love to your fellow man but you love your riches more that God. JESUS was showing the rich young ruler that he was breaking the first two commandments by making a God and idol of his riches more than God.

Now according the what you are claiming just because JESUS did not mention the first four commandments (1, Have no other God, 2, No idols and bowing to them, 3 Dont use God's name in vain and 4, Remeber the Sabbath day to keep it holy) we are free to brake this commandments? That is a pretty silly argument don't you think now brother on reflecting upon what you have said?
