Confused about Sikhism/Hinduism differences

Let people believe what they will. It is a free world. I don't think the Guru would have appreciated that.

Why is it that you're the only one who replies on here? Everyone else has given up?

But the Udaisis and Nihangs are where the line blurs between the religions. Sure Sri Chand Ji was not a Guru but 2 other Gurus' sons chose Hinduism and the Nihangs, even though they complain about Sikhs worshipping Durga,Shiva,Rama, and Hanuman; the four warriors of Hinduism, adopt the Shiv-Shakti symbol themselves!

It's like a Christian or Muslim mocking the old testament just because they hate Jews. But the Sikhs learned life lessons from the Vedas/ added and took away what they agreed/disagreed with.

But they're fools from both sides. The delusional Hindus who believe Sikhs were born to protect them from Muslims and literally pray to Ram, and the bigoted Sikhs who paint every single Hindu and Indian as mob rioters and mock these Hindus even though their beloved Gurus' sons chose Hinduism!!!

And i'm pretty sure if we did the same comparison with Abrahamic religions we'd get ignorant answers too (you only have to go on George Harrison and Zakir Naik videos to see anti Hinduism/ pan Christianity and pan Islam)

Agreed. But the percentages of those delusional would easily exceed 60% (i'm pretty sure more than half of each of them have those types of views).

And this also applies to Christians,Jews and Muslims' views on each other too

How is it that two MOST important of the questions, e.g. THREE Gurus' sons choosing Hinduism and Sikhs insulting Rama and Krishna as mere mortals who were jealous (Ram) or cheaters (Krishna) or cowards (both according to Sikhs online) are avoided?

I believe I said this before but Sikhs on the internet insulting Hinduism fail to realise that their own Gurus' sons chose Hinduism and that the founders of Sikhi liked Hinduism and Islam enough to write the positives of them in Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

The hateful Sikhs blame the Hindus (1984) and Muslims (Mughal era)

and the Hindus (and Jains) blame the Muslims for 'dressing up' as Sikhs and everything wrong in their lives (hey, that's Indians for you)

The Sikhs claim that they're completely distinct from Hinduism and insult Hindus

and the Hindus claim Sikhism as their own even though customs and mythology differ

What would we do if Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Amir Khan depart from the Mumbai film industry or if we were to loose Katrina Kaif? I miss my Muslim electrician. He would do the required things excellently and at very reasonable cost. He was a favorite of my wife. As it happens, he returned to his village in UP to join the family cloth business, good luck to him. During my college days, we made a triad of friends which included a Muslim. And where my father worked as a doctor, a Muslim male nurse would made it a point to greet us with 'Ram, Ram'. Of course, some young Muslims are been misled by clerics and Pakistani propaganda, which is unfortunate, as it affects their lives and that of their families in addition to causing needless violence as in case of attacks on Bodh Gaya and other temples.

Another is Minister of Health and Family Welfare, while one more is the Minister of Minority Affairs. And Hindu Punjabis and today's Sikhs don't seem to realise that Guru Nanak's best friend, wife, and masses of the converts to Sikhism were once Muslim too. Sikhism is not a branch of Hinduism and they oppose idolatry or caste.

Still, it comes back to Sikhs also forgetting the other aspect of their roots. They insult Hinduism and India but their Gurus' sons chose it and wrote highly of the positives in Sri Guru Granth Sahib

what have you say about the links of page 359. The first one doesn't have bias language but r.e Mahabharat, Ramayana, Krishna, Ram and Hindu deities being 'new' e.g. 19th and 20th Century

But to say Rama or Krishna are new, the person may not be aware that Alexander passed by the volcanic mud wells near Gwadar in Pakistan in 325 BC, and one of the wells was known as 'Rama-Koopa' (Rama's well). I mean (if people on this forum actually look at the link) they claim that Rama and Krishna were Lords/Kings and by way of myth became Gods

they also say in the article that it took until 1966 to get a 'standardised' version of the Mahabharat and the Ramayan was written in 5AD (not 400BC) due to referencing Alexander and Buddha

and Ram didn't want to marry Sita/ expelled her and Ravana looked out for Sita and cared for his own sister (it was apparently Lakshman's fault). Apparently Sugriv was bad and Ram helped him

and Krishna gave Arjun loopholes and told Bhim to cheat.

It can't be hateful if it's not written in malice. But I find it stupid Sikhs would criticise Hindu Gods if Sikhism wrote of the positives of Hindu mythology (because if it was stupid or dumb it wouldn't have been included in Guru Granth Sahib at all)
