I’d say the vote was impacted by the Cheney’s support of Harris because the Cheney’s are warmongers. Dick Cheney is probably the biggest war criminal of our life time.
Where's the evidence that this affected votes?

I don't think many people were swayed one way or the other. By anyone, anytime, or anywhere.
I saw some factors in emswayment, eg, perception
of threats posed by illegal aliens, dissatisfaction
with inflation. But opnions of the Cheneys?
Never heard a peep from anyone about them.

I don't think that is the reason she lost. If Biden had run he would also have lost.

I think it is one of multiple reasons, but I agree with you about Biden.
He couldn’t overcome the false representation of what was actually good work to bring down inflation and keep the economy going remarkably well.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Why would they do that? Production costs are much cheaper elsewhere. Tariffs? Ok, as is always the case, those costs passed on to the consumer. Long-term, there is no up-side to bring production home.
I think it's always best to have a home field advantage and less dependency on foreign goods and services.

The increasing number of empty storefronts because they've gone out of business, the explosion of homelessness with record evictions and millions of more Americans having to rely on food pantries just to eat are not "false representation". I could go on. That's a reason why working class people don't want to vote for Dems anymore - all the gaslighting of the very real hardships that the working class and the disappearing middle class are experiencing. Telling us that our life experiences aren't real is not going to endear us to you.

Who said your life experience wasn’t real? Don’t put words in my mouth.

I’m sorry but what do democrats have to do to appeal to voters who think an unstable criminal is acceptable?
Nominate a candidate who is more qualified and instills confidence in people that they can do a better job as president than an unstable criminal?

And it may help if the democratic constituency would stop blaming the voters and realize the real issue that caused their party to lose the presidency and the senate.
