What about the other 90%. Do they not count?

Considering government petitions are not advertised and has only been running a few days 10% is pretty impressive. It certainly means is must be debated.

At a rate of 1/2 a million a day i wonder what the percentage will be when the petition ends

Our universities are nothing more than leftwing brainwashing facilities.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you here. Sure, there are plenty of left-leaning academics and students. But more right-leaning ones exist too. And the pursuit of learning in universities is about as free as it comes.

An unfortunate decision, in my view, but unsurprising. Universities are struggling at the moment as they try to balance different interests in the 'freedom of speech' wars and I'm not sure they always make the right decision. But he remains on the faculty at the University of Toronto.

Universities should be above such matters, especially one of the two most prestigious universities in England.

They should not be issuing statements such as this - His work and views are not representative of the student body and as such we do not see his visit as a valuable contribution to the University, but one that works in opposition to the principles of the University.

If they disagree with his views, they should be able to argue their points of view in a seat of learning instead of retreating to safe spaces.

The problem is that the vote was three years ago and people have changed their mind, now that they can see what brexit means for their future. The want to vote again.

I truly wish there was a second vote when Thatcher was elected.

This is interesting,"they want to vote again",losers in a vote often do.

We have general elections every five years and previous losers often become winners.
There is nothing sacrosanct about a previos vote or referendum

It is even encapsulated in law that the decisions of a previous government can not trump the decisions of a following one.

the law respects the fact that change is inevitable and facilitates it.

This made me think of how the #$@$ did Donald Trump get elected?,

Trump was elected because he won in more states, a completely different scenario than in the uk. If the uk ran that system the referendum would have been a draw and would have to have been re-run.
