Did Jesus say he was God???

Well, seriously, check this:

2 Samuel 22:29
29 You, LORD, are my lamp;
the LORD turns my darkness into light.

I believe these verses in 2 Samuel are in reference to the Son who related to those in the OT as YHWH and in the NT as Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Rock, the Rock is God and the Rock is Christ who is also the Light of the world
( John 1:9; 8:12 ).

“For You are my lamp, O LORD; The LORD shall enlighten my darkness.

For by You I can run against a troop; By my God I can leap over a wall1 As for God, His way is perfect;

The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God”

2 Sam. 22:29-32

Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:1-4

That is symbolic isn't it. Same symbolism for Jacob being the light of the gentiles which in Revelations says that the whole world will be covered. The reference in Revelations distinguishes God from the lamb saying that God is the light and the lamb is the lamp. Still symbolic but the significance of God being the source is very important and the lamb is representing God as a physical manifestation. Notice the lamb is not called God.

And why use a symbol for a lamp if lamps need electricity? :)

Your using the premise of the trinity to twist the title 'Lord' with actual God. This is close to idolatry trying to have God have a human representation when God needs none. That book sure was not making a human representation of God and lord and King David surely wasn't talking of some human Lord. God gives the power over and allows someone to be a beacon of truth and symbolically the light in the darkness.

You use the symbol for the lamp because it needs a power source. God is the power source and the lamb is a representation of that source.

"for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp"

Have you noticed this too:

Revelation 7:17
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Who is the Lamb?

Yeshua....(but not "God")

Especially when you take into consideration that the "ascended" Yeshua says in Rev. 3:12 he has a god (more than once in one single verse)

Or Rev. 4 and 5 where it shows the "Lamb" (Yeshua) standing in the midst of the elders who were seated upon their own thrones while their god was seated upon his throne receiving prays from his heavenly creation.

You look like you have a poor short-term memory.

Yes, as man (His human nature).

Yet He is in the center of The Throne (read Revelation 7)

Yes, my premise is the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit because that is what I believe the scriptures show about God. I agree that God does not need human representation, but if that is the way He chose do reveal Himself then who am I to disagree with His methods?
I never indicated that I thought David was talking about a human Lord. I am saying I believe He was talking about the eternal Son of God who at one point in our history came to earth and became human. That is my perspective. I realize yours is different.

Nope. This is the ascended Yeshua telling John he has a god.

And the ascended Jesus still has His human nature.

Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.

Revelation 1:13
and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man," dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest.

I've read it and to look it by itself is not good enough considering chapters 4 and 5 tell us outright that the lamb (Yeshua), who is standing, is separate from his god (who is seated upon the throne already.
The words are clear.
You choose to find them not good enough.
He is at the center of the throne. I am not saying He is the Father. I am saying He is God.

Atheistically
I have been asked to produce evidence of the divinity of Jesus. This is not just good evidence, it is overwhelming evidence.

Words of Jesus

John 14:9 ... he that hath seen me hath seen the Father
John 14:10 ... the words that I say unto you , I speak not from myself but from the Father abiding in Me doeth His works
John 14:11 ... I am in the Father and the Father in Me
John 10:30 I and My Father are one
John 10:33 ... thou being a man makest Thyself God
John 8:58 Jesus said ... before Abraham was born, Jah (Jah is the short form of Jeshovah)
John 8:59 They took up stones therefore to cast at Him
Mark 2:5 and Jesus seeing their faith saith ... thy sins are forgiven
Mark 2:7 ... who can forgive sins but one, even God
Mark 10:17 ... good teacher Mark 10:18 Why callest Me good? None is good save one, even God John 10:11 I am the good shepherd
Mat. 1:21 ... call his name Jesus; for it is He that shall save his people from their sins
Prophecies of the Messiah Jesus
Isa. 45:21 ... I, Jehovah? and there is no God else besides Me a just God and savior, there is none besides Me
Isa. 7:14 ... a sign: behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel (God with us)
Isa 9:6 a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called: Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

Attributes of God
Omnipresence
John 1:46 Nathaniel saith unto Him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
John 1:49 Nathaniel answered him, Rabbi thou art the Son of God; thou art King of Israel.
John 1:50 Jesus answered ... thou shalt see greater things than these
Omniscience
Luke 6:8 ...the Pharisees watched Him ... that they might find how to accuse him but He knew their thoughts
John 4:17 ... Thou sayest well, I have no husband
John 4:18 for thou hast had five husbands and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband
Omnipotence
Mark 4:41 ... Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?

(He turned water into wine, multiplied bread, healed the sick and the blind, raised a man who was dead for four days)
Authority
Luke 4:36 ... for with authority and power He commandeth the unclean spirits and they come out
Mat 7:29 for He taught them as one having authority
Mat 28:18 ... Jesus ...spake... saying, all authority hath been given unto Me in heaven and on earth
The "I am" statements of Jesus
John 8:12 ... I am the light of the world
John 14:6 ... I am the way, the truth and the life
John 6:35 ... I am the bread of life
John 10:9 I am the door, by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved
John 11:25 ... I am the resurrection and the life
John 15:1 I am the true vine (this is a reference to Jesus being the Paraclete)

if you call any of that evidence its really a pathetic attempt.

I will start with a few and shine gods light on it for you because I believe your missing not just the boat, but the dock as well.

John 14:9 ... he that hath seen me hath seen the Father

first, we dont even know who the writer of J was, its believed by most scholars it was written by atleast 3 or 3 groups of people over a long period of time. None of which ever knew or met jesus.

second, this statement simply means those who see me will end up knowing the father through my teachings.

there isnt a ounce of divinity in that statement.

John 14:10 ... the words that I say unto you , I speak not from myself but from the Father abiding in Me doeth His works

great so jesus states, his faith in the father is so strong its a great feeling in which he is going to share with those that will listen.

John 14:11 ... I am in the Father and the Father in Me

he loves the god charactor, and its a deep part of his life.

John 10:30 I and My Father are one

the writers of this are portraying jesus as being a teacher so true to gods words that they feel he has the one true meaning of what god's message is.

I could spend all day with your personal fantasy, its not worth my time. In the end all you have is people who never knew or met him believed his was divine based on oral tradition

Why don't you check our last couple of posts..
Not interested in repeating my posts.
I don't want to repeat myself either. I try to be consistent but if you see inconsistency feel free to point it out. Your likely misinterpreting what I'm saying.
