Do You Attend Church?

Do You Attend Church?

I do sometimes attend a Church but hitherto I could not find a Church where the priest would say what Jesus/Yeshua - the truthful Israelite Messiah did say or the priest and the Church people would do what Jesus himself did, please, right?
I do love Roman Catholic churches, they are so pretty inside. All candles and icons. Very nice. I can see the appeal.
The question is:
Did Jesus ever attend and like any Catholic Church with so much pomp and show and formalities, please?
Jesus was a simple man, right?

Regards

He would have attended a Judaic Temple, like any other levantine Jew of the time.
The Catholic Church did not exist until several hundred years after the alleged death of Jesus.
I have no idea if he was simple or not, his fan club sure is though.

Did Mohammod ever attend an ornate decorated mosque?

Yes, I am interested in things, outside of the scope of Biblical theology. So that sounds great, if you're interested in discussing matters pertaining to the Bible specifically. Not me personally. Obviously.
I believe that means you prefer to be ignorant.

I believe if you were looking for the perfect church you wouldn't find it. Granted you probably would not fit in to most churches because of your aberrant beliefs but as I have stated before as a heretic I can be comfortable in a Baptist church.

I attended church when I was young, but now I occasionally visit churches when invited. It is like going back in time as at a museum.
I attended one that was like a museum once. I might have been the only one attending. The church kept its doors open because it was endowed.

Ignorant of your primitive biblical jibber jabber? Why certainly I prefer it. It makes my perception of reality, so much more objective, in that it isn't cluttered with nonsensical article of faith and demented narrative.

I hope every church on earth is as empty as a tomb one day or rededicated to a more spiritual and wholesome faith.

I'm just curious to how people interact within a church, I know they pray and sing, but what happens in the before and after stages.
You're asking about the actual church services?

There are people on the door who greet people and show new people in

People go into the worship space and take a seat, and possibly talk to each other before the service begins

One of the people from the church's committee comes up to the pulpit and welcomes everyone and introduces the preacher or minister

Everyone stands up and the preacher or minister enters the worship space and goes to the pulpit. The service then begins.

Afterwards the preacher or minister goes to the door and shakes everyone's hands. Everyone then goes into the church hall and has coffee and biscuits. Some tables would have been put out beforehand so people sit at those and talk amongst each other
Do they talk religious, or does that only come in when the vicar starts talking?
In my experience people don't generally talk about religious stuff either before or after the service

But if someone wanted to that wouldn't be a problem

That may be a blessing, but fortunately The Roman Church does not control society despite thousands of years of claims they do. Some Christian beliefs and rituals have pagan origins.
They used to control society, with murder, torture and above all, fear. They have no real power now, the mother church will fall eventually, and fall hard. Increasingly people see that monstrous institution, for what it really is.

Churches are beautiful places inspired by wonderful imaginations. It's too bad the religions that occupy them don't at all live up to the inspiration. Dead religions don't belong there. Churches are places of virtue, transcendence and inspiring imagination. I would love to go to church but have found that when I do, the church goers are very intolerable, and the messages are empty, misguided or rooted in fantasy.

They can be stunning and awe inspiring. It's just what's inside that isn't so pretty...
