Do you believe in the trinity?

Did Jesus ever claim to be a deity? I would contend he did not. He always at most said he was God's son, which the NT says we also are. Jesus said he spoke on God's behalf and even went as far to say that if he testifies of himself, his testimony is not true (John 5:31-32).
I agree.

I don't think Jesus is a separate 'mighty G-d' from JHVH, that's encouraging worship of more than one deity. There are just so many issues with that imo, like, what if they disagree with each other etc.
Jesus is not Jehovah.

Basically, yes.
This is incorrect. Why would Jesus, who is considered omnipotent, by Trinitarians, have to ask himself permission for anything? This is totally ridiculous.Omnipotent means Almighty, all powerful.Someone who is omnipotent does not need permission for anything.

I'll be honest, I really don't. I don't think Jesus has a special sonship as concerns us all beings sons and daughters. I also don't see that he himself ever really taught such an idea. He affirmed the words of the Shema: Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One Lord... etc.

So do you believe in the trinity? On what basis?

It is a convenient understanding of God, the Logos and man.

Man being a manifestation of the Logos and the Logos being a manifestation of God.

To be made without sin and in God's likeness. To possess God's attributes.Gods qualities are Love,Wisdom,Justice and Power.

Holy spirit is God's power says you so the forth one is wrong. If one of God's qualities is power and the Holy Spirit is power then God's attributes are Love, Wisdom, Justice and Holy Spirit.

Or maybe they are Love, Justice, Wisdom and Truth. If truth is not one of God's qualities and God IS true and for the truth, then which quality includes it?

According to the scriptures Jesus did not "ask Himself".. He asked His Father. The reason He asked His Father is because in the relationship between Father and the Son the Son always chooses to submit His will to that of the Father. This does not is any way negate the omnipotent nature of the Son because this submission is an integral aspect of the triune nature of the eternal Godhead.

Besides that, the scriptures are clear that while on earth the Son lowered and humbled Himself in the Person of Jesus to the position of a servant ... Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.Phil. 2:5-8

Useless symbolism. Three has always been considered a magical number in many religions. so...
by the way...I believe that Jesus is God and that there is no difference between God and man. Because man is not potentially inferior to God.
as for the Holy Ghost...it is like a synonym of God. so...

Upon re-reading your post, I must say your understanding of the trinity is very mystic, but not very orthodox. It also makes Jesus no more unique than any other person, and his being the unique Son is a key tenant of the trinity doctrine.

According to the Church the trinity math 1+1+1=1. This is why Churches are exempt from paying taxes because for every dollar collected they have to find 3 dollars to meet their obligation.

1=1+1+1.

well...Thank you. My vision is Jesus is personal and is the result of my Pelagian beliefs. I strongly believe that Jesus is not different than us. We all are unique and as you said, he was no more unique than we are.

Do you believe in the trinity?

No, Jesus never believed in it.
This was invented by Paul.
Jesus' second coming has taken place to refute it as it has been invented in his name. Quran mentions Jesus absolving himself from authoring Trinity or anything like it .

Welcome to RF.

I believe the Trinity is the one God and one Lord.

I believe one ought to go by scriptures rather than conjecture.

He said "I and my Father are one."
