Does homophobia make sense?

If I see two women kissing it's different. I find both of them attractive so there is no negative reaction.
Honest question for introspection:
if they were unattractive women would you feel differently?

I think the "seeing women make out is hot" thing among men is something from porn. That stuff is pushed a lot in hetero porn for whatever reason, basically fake "lesbianism" for the excitement of men.

With proximity, people tend to get over it.
Unfortunately, homophobia itself conditions people to want to avoid such proximity because somehow they become implicated by proximity.

Yes. Men will have sex with unattractive women for the sex. Women do it with unattractive men for the money or some other benefit. The benefit is more than just though.

This thread is about psychology.

You probably (your feminine side) put yourself in either woman kissing. And this arouses you...
Nope, there's only one way I want to "put myself into" a woman and that has nothing to do with pretending to be one.

I don't think I have a "feminine side" sexually.

Your example doesn't go quite far enough though. The touching might be unwelcome and scary but the problem is what if the touching was "enjoyable". People fear what that might mean. I think this is especially a problem for men as men can get aroused by rubbing themselves against inanimate objects. So another man rubbing another mans intimate parts is likely to cause arousal. People would think that means they are gay. It doesn't.

Remember I am only reporting my own feelings. How other men may feel I don't know.

I can feel "aroused" not touching anything, just mental images. I don't think a man touching would arouse me, so long as a knew he was a man. If it did happen I would probably suspect that I was bisexual, but I would have take it further to be sure.

Heh, that question answers itself. "Unattractive" is subjective, so it's saying "if you find a woman unattractive would you be attracted to her?". So I guess no. But I think many men would take that question to be referring to physical attributes. My attraction to women goes far beyond that so my answer is more complicated.

I think that's true in that in porn it doesn't really matter if the people are enjoying it or not (I exclude pain). They're just actors anyway. Would it make a difference if I knew these women were "real" lesbians or not? I don't think so.

Well, it has led to gross stereotypes about lesbians and when I was teen in the 2000s, it was common for girls to pretend to be bisexual to it impress boys. But that's besides the point.

I'm saying that's where this seems to come from - porn. I doubt men before the advent of modern porn were fantasizing about two women together. A lot of what people are into these days is coming from porn.

All right...but men forget that lesbians are not into men.

Whereas straight women are into men...so maybe they should focus on straight women.

I understand.
But honestly... the fact that Portia De Rossi is married to a woman...is a good thing for most women.

A rival less....LOL....
so it means two single men more...for me. ;)

A straight male watching two women is a turn on to most males because it involves women, the opposite sex. (Boobs, hoochie, etc. Its feminine)

A straight male watching two men is a turn off to most males because it involves men, the same sex.(well you know)

Is it hypocritical? Technically yes. However its about what they like, what stimulates them, what turns them on.

Studying men's psychology, I think that men are the most complicated being on Earth.

They are aroused by what they cannot have. So lesbians is something they cannot have, and that arouses them.

That's why they are terrified by nymphos...even if they are as beautiful as Miss Universe.
Because it's something available...and that turns them off.

Correct me if I am wrong. ;)

I won't go as far as saying men are terrified by nymphos...

I once knew a guy who was dating a nympho.
At first he loved it. Then after a while he said I can't keep up with her. She wants sex constantly.
And said I never thought I would get tired of sex but I am tired of having sex.
They split up after about 4 months.

It's wrong either way...even when the man wants to have sex constantly.

But I didn't mean someone who wants to have sex all the time.
I meant a woman who likes men and who is available, if the man wants to have sex.

It's only an insult to people who perceive it as such. It's an ideology expressed in the behavior and attitude of people who are perpetually offended by everything. They are miserable, humorless and destroy anything thats decent. Its not an insult to accurately describe something. Would be an insult to call Hitler a genocidal murderer?
Ah.
So it is just an attempt at a snide insult...
What is the source of your presented definition?
I ask because I can not find it anywhere.

Woke is now defined in this dictionary as “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice),” and identified as U.S. slang
So are you saying the dictionary definition is wrong?
Incomplete?

I think it's the other way around. Lesbian sex is a thing in porn because men like it. It's a service industry, if there's demand, it will be satisfied.

There's a lot of weird **** in mainstream hetero porn that I really hope isn't a reflection of the average male tastes. Much of the hetero porn you come across online is rather misogynistic and even violent. There's no affection or love for each other's bodies, generally. They're more affectionate towards each other in gay porn, actually. The porn industry is generally run by mentally damaged perverts, anyway. Then you have people where porn was their introduction to sex so they think that's what you're supposed to do. So it's not so simple as what you're saying. People's sexual desires are at least partly shaped by society, and porn is now a part of our culture.

Im always surprised why woke people never like being described as woke. Maybe it because they actually are offended by everything and are humorless miserable people.

I saw this video the other day of a comedian. He said there are some words white people can never say like the N word. Then he says there are words that black people can never say, like "ask" inferring that they say "ax" rather than "ask". A black couple in the front down laughed hysterically. Guess what though? A white lady next to them just shook her head. She was the miserable humorless, perpetually offended woke person that everyone in the place, including the black couple ridiculed for the next 5 minutes.

That's interesting. I'm trying to check my own memories about being turned on by lesbian sex. I think you are right that it wasn't portrayed so it didn't occur to me.

Incidentally, there's one thing that porn does do to mislead men about women. That is that women want sex in the same way that men do, instant arousal. I imagine that causes a lot of problems.

On the other hand porn has been around for a long long time. It's not a modern invention.
