Does homophobia make sense?

Heh, that question answers itself. "Unattractive" is subjective, so it's saying "if you find a woman unattractive would you be attracted to her?". So I guess no. But I think many men would take that question to be referring to physical attributes. My attraction to women goes far beyond that so my answer is more complicated.
For example...Mia and Valentina kissing...
does this image amuses you? Arouses you?

Honestly...I find it awkward, because I imagine myself being one of them, and yes, I feel like vomiting.

The lips of a stranger man kinda intrigue me.
The lips of a stranger woman make me throw up. She can be Miss Italy, I don't care.

The part where she can't find her underwear was amusing. I wasn't aroused, because they didn't show much. It's very simple. I enjoy looking at women's bodies. One is nice, two is twice as nice. If I imagine myself in the scene, it's as me, trying to please both women as well as myself. If the women are enjoying each other as well as enjoying me, that adds spice.

If it was two men, I wouldn't be disgusted, but certainly not aroused. In fact I've watched gay porn with some gay friends I used to have and it didn't affect me much either way. It was interesting how far certain parts will stretch though.

I have at times wished that I were bisexual, as that's a whole spectrum of sexuality that I will never experience. I guess I just like sex a lot.

I am happy that I am not bisexual....
honestly.

By the way... whenever I see this incredibly gorgeous man...with so much abundance I say to myself: more lesbians means less competitors with erotic preys like him...:hearteyes::hearteyes::yum::yum:

That is the only real fear a man could have from homosexual men, being raped by a homosexual predator, stronger than them.
Irrational would be to extend the fear to all homosexuals or homosexuality as a concept.
Fear takes on many forms. The irrational fear or belief that homosexuals groom children for example.

Oh right, so there shouldn't be a specific word for those who hate and want to harm homosexuals

Yes, so to change society so that no longer happens and is no longer acceptable we need the word and concept of "Homophobia"

The word phobia means fear. The word phobia comes from the Greek: φόβος (phóbos), meaning "aversion", "fear" or "morbid fear". The regular system for naming specific phobias uses prefixes based on a Greek word for the object of the fear, plus the suffix -phobia.

An instinctive response to fear is fight or flight. A phobia does not always mean reacting to the fear with hate or fight. It can also mean more like a morbid fear and the need to run away for personal safety; flight. The Gay dress code of leather, whips and chains (in Parades and clubs) makes some people run away, since it symbolizes domination and submission, which is more about aggression and not being neighborly. This is often done in fun, if you are in the know, but not everyone knows the secret handshake due to the fear inducing attire.

A related observation, based on anecdotal evidence, is prison will cause more otherwise heterosexual people to engage in homosexual behavior compared to open freedom spaces. This is more often initiated by predator domination. One is confined with the heterosexual options not available. Whips and chains are symbols of an old fashion prison from the slave era and before. The question is, could being confined, in the prison of your own mind, cause this behavior to increase, with domination attire enhancing the effect or release?

Should we have the word heterophobia? Lesbians and Gays sort of fear a heterosexual male and female relationship. respectively and will try to get away. They may even get angry or afraid if a strong female or strong male makes a persistent pass at a gay male or lesbian female, respectively. They may fight or flight due to heterophobia. These phobia terms get too judgmental. However, this is the word game of the Left that they apply only to their political opponents, to insult, stereotype and silence them.

One further related observation with anecdotal evidence, that can explain the root of some of the phobia; fear; fight or flight, may have to due with adults sexually messing with children of the opposite sex. This is traumatic same or opposite sex, but since this often happens via domination; adult and child, like a few of the Catholic Priests, it can leave behind a phobia; anger or flight. Or, if we have the Stockholm Syndrome in effect; empathizing with your captors, the opposite of phobia, fight and flight; can appear, which is accept and embrace, in the prison of your mind caused by the repression induced.

the meaning of compound words is not derived from the specific meanings of their root works

Homophobia is an irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or people who are identified or perceived as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. It includes antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, and hatred of homosexuals

Its a good thing heterosexuals never dress in leather.

They do?

I get the feeling you don't actually know any LGBT people. Maybe yo should change this.

and your strange ideas about a "gay dress code" is anything but judgmental

Do you feel that same about words like 'racist'?

This statement brings together antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, and hatred in one compact paragraph

In my experience the term homophobia is simply slapped onto people who disagree with woke ideology. It's a way of classifying people and so you dont have to deal with them. Label them homophobic and then they can be ignored. It's nothing but word games.
Is it woke to know that gay people exist and do not want to be harmed?

If Bob is gay and I don't like men on men sex, why label me or insult me?

Bob likes it. That's his his life.

I''m not attacking Bob. I don't fear Bob. I think its gross. I don't have to like what he does. That doesn't mean I don't like Bob.
Bob probably thinks your kind of sex is gross. Heck, thinking of our parents having sex can be gross.

I mean...inspired by a recent controversy...in the religious, ecclesiastical field...
does the sentiment of homophobia that heterosexuals may feel, make sense?
I think it's irrational and self-contradictory.

I mean...I am straight. I am into men.
If the most beautiful women are gay...it means that so many men will be single and available....because they will leave them alone.
In other words....more lesbians = more single men for me.

I wonder what Freud would say about this weird self-detrimental homophobic sentiment...many straight people have.
It's a psychological detail that makes you think.

Give me your take. :) ;)
Phobia means to fear or have some type of an aversion against. But today progressives and liberals have redefined the term so it can be used to insult and belittle those whose views differ from their own on specific subjects. It started with Homophobia, then they got Xenophobia, Transphobia, etc. etc. Obviously those called homophobic don’t actually fear, or have some type of an aversion against homosexuals, but if you have an opposing view on homosexual issues than the progressive view, they will call you homophobia. The same goes for immigration, or other issues; if your view differs from the progressive/liberal view on those issues, they will call you xenophobia, transphobia Islamophobia etc.

The terms homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, etc. refer to dislike of, negative attitudes or discrimination against each group.

Don't get lost in the lexical origins of phobia. Progressives criticize opposing views which are negative, marginalizing or discriminatory against LGBT or immigrants. They do not criticize because of the existence of disagreement - but the specific attitudes that disagreement reflects.

Yet anti-gay rhetoric is thick with irrational fears. Consider how often do we hear nonsense about recruiting or "grooming" children for example
but if you have an opposing view on homosexual issues than the progressive view, they will call you homophobia.

the progressive view of homosexuality is that it is a natural variation of the human experience and those who are LGBT should not be discriminated against. What do you oppose about this?
