Does It Disturb You That the US President Is a Compulsive, Blatant, Unrepentant Liar?

Well to tell you the truth I would have preferred Ross Perot, but since my only real choices were Hillary and Trump there was no choice other than the present President. So, as long as he doesn't get us involved in a nation building conflict and improves the economy I could care less what he says.
Actions speak louder than words.
His words have caused far more division in this country than any other modern President. And, he's only been in for 200 days.

Objection.
Defining lie as simply being wrong makes everyone a, how do you put it "compulsive, blatant and unrepentant liar",

Thus the rest of your post is a rambling.
We aren't talking about when Trump is simply mistaken about stuff. We are talking about when he says things that are obviously not true in order to deceive the American people. He does it every day.

He was not the best candidate. Not even close. He just won over a lot of ignorant voters who fell for his dishonesty. He did run a successful campaign, but that in no way means he was a better candidate..
By "best", I'm referring to what the Big Two came up with.

Hillary was still the better of both options.

No one wanted a first woman or no one wanted Bill's wife, knowing that he would be behind her in the White House.

In the end, those are two absolutely dumb reasons to discount her for a man who did not attempt to hide what a horrible president he would be.

And any attempt to get an honest answer from those who would not support Hillary ends in shame for rational thinking.

It's important to know the difference between opinion & fact.
To say one is better than the other is opinion (based upon our personal values & assessments).
You have yours. I have mine.

To be honest, evaluation of both parties can change opinion to fact. How Trump conducted himself before the win was announced and how he has conducted himself since proves beyond a doubt that he was the worst choice.

The worst mistake is thinking one's opinions are factual.
Certainty is the mind killer because it blinds one to alternative views.

The only alternate view would be to have witnessed Hillary as president, yet mindless individuals ensured that did not happen.

Is it also mindless to presume that her presidency would be all
hunky dory, given her penchant for war, corruption, & ineptitude?
We can only make highly fallible predictions about performance
in the face of many possible events. So I continue to advise
ditching certainty for a broad view of competing perspectives.

Is her penchant for war, corruption, and ineptitude a certain fact or is that a Republican opinion?

It's interesting to me -- as a Canadian -- how much hatred I see for Hillary Clinton. And how much that she cannot be forgiven for which is oftentimes a lot less egregious than what others have done. In this thread, in particular, as I review what I know of Clinton and Trump (not as much as I should) she has always been more honest, more thoughtful, less divisive.

Could somebody just once -- instead of saying "well obviously I couldn't vote for Hillary even if she were running against Satan" explain to me why she is so much worse than Satan (or Trump)?

You're severely misunderstanding something to make such a request.
Explain, or sin no more.

I am always honest in what I present. I do not confuse opinion with fact. The fact was, even before he was elected, that Trump was not a solid candidate, and it was further proven after he was elected that he is not a decent human being.

You provided the opinion that Hillary was not a viable choice.

That's not quite accurate.
"Viable" wasn't the issue.
Preference was.
You're new, & missed our extensive discussions of the merits & faults of the candidates.
I'd rather not rehash it all.
You could search the N Americastanian Politics forum to see what we all had to say.

The OP was.
That is my objection.
I understand that threads evolve, I replied to the OP before I read the rest of the thread.
