Is it more believable that, whatever his motives might be, a being chanced to create the universe?

the argument seems to be that the conditions are so rare that it is unlikely that there is another earth.
The contrary argument is that if there is one, and there is, there could equally be others.

I am sympathetic with the questions raised but I don't get on board with the suggested conclusions. Plus, I think it is a limit of imagination to suggest that evolution will only impart the ability to survive - come on, that just made me laugh out loud.

What these discussions never address is "who created the creator?"

The Privileged Plantet had one fatal flaw. The probability it gave for an earth forming by chance was low enough that there should be a good number of Earth-like planets.

The earth, and everyhing living on it, is made of dense formed matter, which has always existed, in one form or another.

An example of this is water, it has always existed in one form or another, you cannot create or destroy it.

We have also always existed, in one form or another, just as God has.

God created our spirit bodies (refined matter) to give our individual "intelligences" form; and later we obtained physical bodies (dense matter) of course.

Doctrine and Covenants 131: 7,8 (LDS Scripture)
7 There is no such thing as immaterial matter. All spirit is matter, but it is more fine or pure, and can only be discerned by purer eyes;
8 We cannot see it; but when our bodies are purified we shall see that it is all matter.

Doctrine and Covenants 93: 29 (LDS Scripture)
Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.

We don't really know how frequently the various advantages ascribed to our planet are likely to occur. We have yet to develop starships, warp drives or telescopes powerful enough to actually see other planetary systems. We do know that a few simple Natural laws or a simple equation can result in enormous complexity.
It also doesn't follow that because a great many situations must be just so for the world to exist as it does, that it was created so by magic by an omnipotent personage. Why is this the only plausible explanation?

On improbability: Roll a pair of dice a hundred times and carefully note of each roll. What is the chance of your rolling two sixes every time? -- exactly the same probability as the series you actually did roll!
Just about everything is wildly improbable. That a particular piece of gravel should wind up in exactly the orientation it occurs, in a particular spot on your driveway, at a particular time, is so bind bogglingly improbable that it is well-nigh impossible -- but it's there. Its being anywhere else, anytime else, or even existing at all would be equally improbable.

Do you think Earth would be better if God fixed all of our mistakes?

They just say "God is uncreated", but fail to explain why it can't be the same for the Universe.
I tried to address this in post number 8 the best I could.

The universe was formed using existing eternal dense matter, by an intelligent being, who has always existed, as have we...

We'll discuss those when found. The flaw is really is that creation is never assigned to probability, but to some entity.

Really? Do you understand how electrolysis of water works?
Have you ever seen what comes out of the tail pipe of a vehicle when running on this renewable source of energy ?????

You're only temporarily seperating the two molecules.

You can't burn up the water that exists on this planet. It's a renewable source of energy that has already been tapped into.

You're only temporarily changing it's form, you cannot permanently destroy or eliminate water from this earth under our current conditions. I use water as an example to illustrate the fact that you cannot destroy or create the elements or molecules which make up this earth, they are eternal.

Here we are combining the two molecules (hydrogen and oxygen) to create electricity, which again produces water.

Top Gear - Water Car

Here we are seperating the two molecules (hydrogen and oxygen), then the hydrogen is burned with the oxygen, which again produces water.

Daniel Dingel Water Powered Car

So technically you can create and destroy water but it will always return back to it's original form. We can only change it's form temporarily. The same amount of water that has existed on this planet 6000 years ago is the same amount we have today...

No, hydrogen and oxygen will not combine to form water unless you add energy. And with enough energy, even basic elements can be changed through a process called transmutation.

As for your claim that the amount of water on this planet is constant, I suggest you read up on comets.

Have you ever bought an expensive toy for a six month old child and watch him have more fun with the box than the toy?

Interesting link thanks.

Okay so the amount of water on this planet remains relatively constant.

It's only an example to illustrate my point; that the elements, which make up the earth, have always existed.

God formed the earth from these eternally existing elements.

God did not create the earth from nothing. He has taken eternal existing dense matter and formed the earth and all living things.
