Everyone, whether they choose to admit it or not is religious.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReligionThere needs tobe a religious community. It can´t be just individual, otherwise is not called a religion.

While I think religion can be a solitary thing, I think the argument that is being proposed would suggest that the community is implied in the idea that decisions are made either through interactions with the greater human community, or through the subconscious elements passed down through evolution (ancestor worship? ;)).

In the fact that religion is a system of beliefs that one uses to guide one's life, every decision a person makes whether good or bad is based on religion.

according to www.Merriam-webster.com
Religion: a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices
Note the word, "religious." Not everyone has such a system.

Interesting that in your haste you forgot to read the whole definition you presented.

Try reading it this way:
A personal system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices.
An institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices.
Please note the word religious...

there are a lot of definitions for the word religion...you're just chasing your own tail here

If you're more comfortable substituting the word "trust" for "worship" you could do that and basically keep the meaning.
Right. You're playing with the meanings of words. You can do that, of course, but don't forget it and that you'll reach conclusions that don't make sense unless you're in on the game.

You appear to be suffering from a case of circular reasoning. The key word in the definition is highlighted in red. It is very specific. If one does not have religious beliefs your "argument" falls right off the edge of the nearest cliff. So that slays your thinking that "Everyone, whether they choose to admit it or not, is religious" right there. The statement is simply not true as not everyone has religious beliefs. Need anything else?

Oh okay, noting the word religious in the definition of religion is defining the word with the word. It is as you say circular reasoning to do so

according to dictionary.com the word religious means
"of, pertaining to, or concerned with religion: a religious holiday."
pretty much something or someone that has something to do with religion

okay, what is religion? Religion - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary
: a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith

a system of beliefs

What is ardor? ardor means loyalty
What is faith? firm belief in something for which there is no proof
What is an opinion? belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
What is a thought? something (as an opinion or belief) in the mind <he spoke his thoughts freely>
Religion - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Wow, so long as someone has an opinion on something they are religious.

What insecurity drives you to need to define everyone as religious?

It is implied that you are attempting to insult non-religious people by calling them religious. If you yourself are religious, then isn't it rather sad that you find your own position insulting?

I suspect you are adept at back-peddling a bicycle too. :) Personally, I think you are reallllllllly stretching this to make it fit. I'm just saying.

I'm just stating it how it is. The truth hurts sometimes.
Whenever someone says anything, they risk someone else taking it as an insult.
That is just the risk you take when you open your mouth to say something.
