lets look at the definition to the word fundamental
Dictionary.com
serving as, or being an essential part of, a foundation or basis; basic; underlying: fundamental principles; the fundamental structure.

Would you believe me if I told you that breathing is a fundamental part of your survival?

Do atheists brush their teeth? If they do then they are practicing their belief that if they brush their teeth they will have clean teeth.

Ritual according to http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ritual
done in accordance with social custom or normal protocol <ritual handshakes> <ritual background checks>

an atheist often brushes their teeth because it is frowned upon in society to have dirty teeth and bad breath.
Do atheists have social customs?
Do atheists have any kind of normal protocol?

i suggest you look up the word solidarity...
: unity (as of a group or class) that produces or is based on community of interests, objectives, and standards

for the purpose of survival it would be in our best interest to come to an agreement in regards to setting a standard with an objective of equality.

No. "atheist" don´t. Civilized people do.

If you are a poor atheist or a dirty atheist maybe not, the same for a pooor or dirty theist or w/e

You have the concept of religion so wrong inso many levels :biglaugh:

ok, so i practice the ritual of being honest and truthful
what does that have anything to do with adhering to a religious ritual?

The fact that you have a belief in being honest and truthful and that you abide by that belief shows that you are a religious person.

It was just a random example.

Your statement that my concept of religion is so wrong on so many levels has no power or credibility behind it. They are just empty words until you can show something to back it up.
