Hardly, the Wiki article went into depth. Why don't you like Wikipedia? It is probably more reliable than the sources that you like to use. There is nothing dishonest about using a fairly reliable source.

No, it is something that I can support. I can explain to you why Wikipedia is more accurate than many other sources. Meanwhile you ran away from a reasonable question and only had more false personal attacks in response.

Perhaps there was no purpose. A natural event was theologically captured. But of course it is possible that the evil of those people interacted with the consciousness of the clouds to bring forth the rains. But world over a wet phase started at 3000 bce.

Sure, no one suggests the biblical Noah's Flood was lifted entirely from the earlier fable, just the general idea seems remarkably similar.
