There's no doomsday, it just another win for the rich, if you have the money to pay, you will still get high speed access and be able to be seen by everyone. If your trying to control expenses you have to be satisfied with the basic speed and limited access.

Of course it wasn't the Dems as this is a repeal of government Regulations. "0)

Anyways, I heard some people saying this still has to go through Congress and the Supreme Court.

Dunno if that's the case or not in these matters personally as to whether this can still be contested, or just a bureaucratic formality that it needs to go through before the FCC's deregulation takes effect.

Maybe somebody more knowledgeable of the process can chime in.

I expected as much, it really isn't surprising at all.
Now they just have to withstand the backlash and slowly ease their trash policies in on us lesser humans until we stop caring and live with it.

From what I've been able to gather, they voted to proceed with their intentions to repeal. I think it still has to go before Congress.

And even then, the rules that they're looking to repeal went into effect in 2015 (if I'm gathering everything correctly through... everything). So maybe it wont be as bad as everyone's making it out to be?

And even then, the rules that they're looking to repeal went into effect in 2015 (if I'm gathering everything correctly through... everything). So maybe it wont be as bad as everyone's making it out to be?

The 2015 ruling came about so telecoms couldn't charge premium rates for access, and it reclassified them so that they had to allow equal access to all of the internet for all of their customers.
