First person shooter video games

Ok. Its your choice to assume that.
It's no assumption, WNK. The virtual training simulations utilized by the military for select scenarios and jobs are not "video games". The civilian public will very likely never utilize them, and they are designed as instructional aids rather than commercial entertainment. They're on the same level as the guy that steals your cellphone in PII training - if you know you know.

It's a very poor and irrelevant point in relations to the leveled accusation that video games - particularly FPS Military-themed games - instill violent tendencies in those who play them.

Lmao. Virtual pilot training is equivalent to a video game. But I'm sure you know more than I do :D.

You must be a ultracrepidarian

See, that is your problem. Nobody wants to be responsible and everybody is kicking the can down the road. That's why you have so many shootings, because you refuse to do anything against them.

Really!! I just proposed something IMO that has a affect on them but I'm kicking the can down the road? Lol. Denial is kicking the can down the road my friend.

Virtual pilot training is equivalent to a video game.
Equivalent only in that they're virtual and one isn't actually seated in a cockpit. Flight Simulator has never been my pace of video game, but I do know enough that it's not designed to train people to fly aircraft; certainly not military aircraft. I can't binge the game, roll up to the nearest airport, and claim to have flight experience because of a video game.

You're deflecting, and hard, from the issue at hand. Have you run out of rope? It's gone from video games causing violence to the exact nature of an FPS game, and now apparently because the military uses virtual training that's... somehow relevant? You're lost in the sauce, WNK. Time to reel it back in.

Yep.
"However there has to be a reason why mass shootings have risen besides just blaming the "inanimate gun". The gun takes a human to operate it. What drives or is pushing those humans to do mass shootings?"
You proposed something to avoid discussion about an other thing. You don't want an open discussion where all the possibilities are on the table.
Put the guns back there together with the dismal healthcare, especially for mental health, look for other reasons like poverty. Weigh the contributions and contemplate the feasibility of possible solutions. Do you think gun laws would remain unscathed in an open discussion?

Ok lets blame meds, mental illness, or whatever. But wait no one wants to go there.
How can it be the fault of an inanimate object, the gun, that only works with human help?

Yeah. I've never seen or heard anyone ever taking a bullet like a video game character can.
The military obviously isn't training soldiers like that.

Are you wilfully obtuse or just bad at reading comprehension?

It's not the guns, it's the availability of guns. We are not talking about inanimate objects, we are talking about humans using them and the laws that allow them to use them.
Or do you want to talk about DVDs in a jewel case which happen to have a game on them? That's an inanimate object also.

What would you know about military training?

Please give me your expertise in the military fields and training you have experience in.

"it's the availability of gun"

Are you willingly obtuse? Guns are harder to get now than ever. I used to take them to school as shop projects. Every truck in the school parking lot had guns in the back glass gun rack.... We could walk into any store at 18, pay for a gun and walks out as soon as it was rang up. The were no school shootings.

Absolutely irrelevant to the topic, WNK. Virtual training does not a video game make, and this entire red herring has zero correlations to the accusation that video games cause violence. Do you have anything at all to supply in that regard, or just more wild tangents?

Shoot someone with a spell and have them shoot you with a gun. Who do you think will fare best?
