You talk like you knew you would have done better with what they faced. Someone in your line of thinking was usualy being flauged right now in hopes youl repent. Times were different and you think he was doing bad? WHO WAS DOING BETTER!?!?! It was before ALL of us misty you just want to prove to yourself everyone else is amatuer.

Did anyone else understand a word of this? If so please explain it to me. Thanks.

This is what ive seen. When somone attacks scripture as literal the practicer takes offense because it isnt practiced literaly. Our defense is metaphyscial but you require physcial evidence for any belief toward the matter. This leaves two options 1. learn from it 2. leave it, but it is too late to ignore it.

Then what are you doing here? you take no direction from anyone, you have no beleifs to offer anyone for religious guidance. You pipe up when you disagree and thats it. Its overly obvious to all of us you have been circling your beleifs and never catching on because you "dont have to". So maybe you can tell me your goal in these forums to help ME understand your place?

My guess is that she's dong what the forum is for, debating religion. What are you doing here? Do you need help? If so, with what?

I think Jtartar really put alot of thought into putting that together for misty, and it's even sadder that she shrugs all our effort off like it was an annoying breeze. I heard your words Jtartar and it was a awsome compilation of scripture.

So you also think the world is going to end in your lifetime?

I'm sorry, how dare US ripple the perfectness of misty. Continue in your perfectness! None have to offer in words what your needs are requiring.

At this point, you can show where Misty claimed to be perfect, retract and apologize, or allow all of us to judge your character accordingly.

God is being offered to you and you overlook it because of its association. This is being done for you more then us, since believers need no understanding of this connection.

Do you have a license to read people's minds?

Think hard, sam. Misty questions the existence of what you are offering her. Don't you think your first job would be to persuade her that God exists?

Exactly you REFUSE to interpret this for yourself. You are still holding onto that fear of your childhood trauma of what "that" is. It's words, like the newspaper but along the lines of internal and spiritual growth, not sports and business.

Sounds to me like she's actually read the Bible. Have you? If so, why do you defend a genocidal, child-killing being?

I don't get this one either.

All he was offering her was a possible way to "understand".

No, he was lecturing her, in no uncertain terms, that life is going to end in this generation, based on his interpretation of his holy book, with no rationale for the validity of the book or his interpretation of it.

My response to this is that he's lost contact with reality. What's yours?

It was YOUR quote she was asking about. Do you often refer to your self in the 3rd person when responding to questions about what YOU wrote? Or do you have multiple user accounts and got confused as to which you were posting from?

I think that Sam was referring to past practices in which unbelievers were tortured into admission of belief and then burnt at the stake or something.

I don't get this one either.

Sam's problem is that he can't see when he is on a hiding to nothing. There is nothing he could possibly say to me that would make me see it his way, even if I was able to understand exactly what he is on about, which isn't always easy.

I have read the Bible from cover to cover three times and I read it daily I am on Mark 12 at present. My views are arrived at from my reading of the book. Now Sam lets agree to differ.

In all sincerity, why do you read on a book daily, yet you despise everything it stands for? If I hate spinach, I'm not going to force myself to eat it everyday. I'm sure there's another greeny veggie I can substitute for it.

I know you still believe in a supreme being

You know nothing of the sort!

Jesus had a nasty temper for a start. What business of his was it to kick the money changers out of the Temple? That was for the Temple authorities. He had a hissy fit when the fig tree had no fruit, even though it was out of season. He somehow managed to chase a herd of pigs over a cliff, I bet the owner was thrilled! He told people to hate their relatives and like him better etc, etc!

Regarding the temple remark, is it okay so sell pornography in schools? no, it is wrong. Should I wait until the superintendent of the school does something? no, it is my right to say something. Do the perpetrators have to listen? no, and if they did not believe Jesus had no authority, they would not have.

Jesus had a hissy fit? That just sounds ridiculous.

As far as him "chasing a herd of pigs" where does it say that he chased them? If you believe that some of the bible is not true or inaccurate, what do you use to base your feelings on about a certain figure in it? You used the word chase regarding the pig, thus you put your own words in it. He cast "Legion" out of the man and into the swine. If you do not believe what is written, that he did that - then how can you believe He even chased the pigs. If you don't believe in any of it - then there were no pigs, thus Jesus didn't do anything wrong in your eyes, thus you have no basis to dislike or like Him.

Would you like to comment on this, or just skirt around to something you can deny?

I said in mind, should I restate eternaly? After life. Alone in the dark with no way out unless your willing to build thoughts. Uncomfertable or not how is the thought gonna hurt you if your truly trying to understand it?

Speaking of understanding, you're really hard to understand.

I have bad news for you, sam. All evidence suggests that neither Misty, nor you, nor I will be anywhere after life. We'll be dead.
