Gaza: Comparing Egypt's blockade to Israel's?

It's very simple.

Anything that Israel does to defend it's citizens is a war crime.

Nothing any other country or government does no matter how heinous is a war crime.

BTW, Im surprised you left out the famous "Anyone that criticizes the Israeli Gov't is automatically an Anti-Semite".

Would have figured that one was obvious.

Let's explore this so called evidence.

Anyone can say anything on the internet. Finding an extremely left wing web site that makes accusation really is meaningless.

The so called UN Human Rights Agency is controlled by Syria, Iran, Algeria, and the rest of the worst country thugs. It's meaningless.

This gentleman said it very well.

More baseless accusation.

That's not evidence. Anyone can say anything.

Same thing. Baseless opinions.

Remember, to qualify as a "human shield" under international law, the victim's movements must be under the forcible control of the combatant who is using them. By that definition, simply launching rockets from urban environments is not a violation of this law.

(Please take a moment to observe that none of my links are to Facebook or Youtube. That's how this is done.)

Hamas brags about using human shields. This isn't anything they deny.

CMike, this is an appalling effort on your part. I know you are sinking a lot of time into this, so I think the polite thing to do is let you know I am putting you on ignore so I can focus on others who are more sincere about having a discussion. Nothing personal. :)

Wow, you've accused so many people of being "bigots" and "racists" when they're clearly not, and then you put CMike on ignore?

Nothing personal. :)

Hi Alceste,

A sincere question, no sarcasm...

Can you say more about how *you* evaluate news sources? For example, it's not clear to me that saying that an article is always better than a youtube is really a valid rule for assessing a source.

You have to question whether someone simply hates jews when they try and nit pick everything Israel does but ignore actual human travesty that has been occurring in Syria, Iran, Algeria, Russia, Ukraine, N. Korea, the Hamas gaza government, China, etc.

Yeah...I would say that's anti semitism.

She is not used to someone challenging her bigoted and racist beliefs.

It's probably hard for her to deal with the reality of the truth.

Nothing personal.

Anyone who opposes her views is a racist, sexist and bigot.
Nothing personal to her.

Personally I favour detailed research like investigative reports by neutral NGO's, direct witness testimony, leaked official documents, credible non-fiction books by qualified academics, documentaries, individual journalists with a proven track record of accuracy, etc. In debates, I link to news articles for the benefit of others who would never bother going into that level of detail to form an opinion. I post links from a variety of media sources across the political spectrum to undermine their tendency to not read or address the content because of the perceived agenda of the source (which is how CMike ended up on ignore).

I generally avoid non-neutral sources (for example, MEMRI), opinion pieces, blogs, social media, think tanks, and (don't know how else to put it) idiots. The internet is filled with idiots, both inside and outside the professional news media.

Now that's funny.

All her sources were hate Israel sources. Most of the websites were websites we never even heard of making baseless accusation.

I posted videos of Hamas leaders boasting that they use human shields.

And you would be wrong. I've strongly condemned Israels response to the current conflict, but that in no way means that Hamas is innocent. They're a barbaric terrorist organization that needs to be eliminated from the face of the planet as soon as humanly possible. With that said, and it's glaringly obvious, the current IDF strategy is not only wreckless, it's downright ineffective.

2000+ dead civilians, and Hamas has launched 137 rockets in the last 24 hours. Tell me how this is nothing short of absurdity. How many more civilians needs to die before they figure out it's not working, and try something else?

Come on now. One of the most powerful and well trained militaries on the planet, and their go to strategy is bomb them till scare them enough?

to OP , I guess Egypt blackade the border , because Egypt won't let the palestinians leave their land ,

so in that time , Israel will take that chance to invade Gaza and steal it to Israel , and Gazans people know that i guess .

that's not maybe logical reason ?
