God’s Method of delivering messages, is it flawed?

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
Once again theists display a flaw in their rules. Their failure to point out the dangers of doing things they claimed are wrong opens them to ridicule.

Such as.

Masturbation
Sex outside marriage
Gay sex
Rules on menstruation
Not believing
And more.
Those things you mention here are seen as lack of morality, lack of self control, a sin (some of them, not all of them is sin)
But guidelines to a good morally life say that the more self control, the fewer attachments to sex, masturbation, and so on, the better life we will live, and closercto the standard of God we become.

Non of the typical human activitues are important or needed for a good religious person

Benefits of not masturbating?

One of the benefits is that it takes one's mind off one's selfish desires and focuses one's mind on something more beneficial to his character. Another benefit is that it allows one to exercise self-control, which is a laudable quality.
It just replaces 1 desire with others. Once one has masturbated the desire to repeat it is gone.

So why were we made this way?

I see that peace will spread when people of all Faiths and those of no Faith follow God given virtues.

I see no difference in the Message given my all Avatars, Messengers, Prophets that gave their Message from the One God.

I see what hinders us from finding that unity is men that think they know more than God, or make God's of their own thoughts.

So if all people are willing to live the virtues, then peace can be found in that diversity of names, or one who chooses no name.

If people are not willing to find a unity for the good of all, then it is only just and fair that someone stands up to show it is possible and take the lead. If that is what has God has willed, then it will be.

As you do not think there is a God, then it is not so black and white for you, but for me it seems 100% logical that we have to find unity as one race of men, for the good of all.

No one is saying it's not a wonderful dream. And that's all it is.

The danger is to your soul, as Jesus said:

Matthew 16:24-26 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Those who do not recognize the dangers in this life will find out what the dangers were after they die and realize how they wasted their life on their selfish desires.
I don't believe I have a soul.

Answer CG's question, Trailblazer. Include Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha and Jesus. What did they do? Why do you consider them to be "manifestations" of Allah? We know something of what what Mohammad did though not all.

That question has been answered many times.

All the advice on this subject comes from the Kitab-i-Iqan, where Baha'u'llah proves to us the Messengers from God and shows what they offer the world.

Because humans was given a free will to do right or wrong action, speech and thoughts,
Being morally good is always the correct path, but you are free to chose the path of attachments, like, dislike, greed, anger jealousy, lust and so on. A religioues person is trying to let go, or remove them self from those attachments. And be free of any attachments that lead away from the teaching

So we could learn to choose our spiritual nature over our physical nature and thereby become more spiritual.

I asked why for a reason. So far you're saying desire is bad. Not giving reasons for things we are meant to enjoy are bad.

Why the rules on menstruation?

What does that mean, where is the scientific proof?

Just saying something doesn't make it true.

When science finds true unity, then I see science may have the frame of reference it needs to consider it has the proof all along, but has not been focused to find it.

Science also has to except it does not have the capacity of all knowledge, there are things we cannot know.

You can enjoy many things as a religious person too, but no attachments to it, meaning if it was taken away from you, you would not miss it or want it. It would just be something from the past.

The next time we have a cake, listen to music, cook, post on RF, ETC. life is driven by doing what pleases us.
I consider that a sorry way to live, for our own selfish desires, but whatever floats your boat..

And you wonder why the Baha'i dream of a new race of men seems unrealistic to you. o_O

“With the establishment of the Most Great Peace and the spiritualization of the peoples of the world, man will become a noble being adorned with divine virtues and perfections. This is one of the fruits of the Revelation of Bahá’u’lláh, promised by Him. The nobility of man and his spiritual development will lead him in the future to such a position that no individual could enjoy eating his food or resting at home while knowing that there was one person somewhere in the world without food or shelter. It is Bahá’u’lláh’s mission to create such a new race of men.”
